For underwear, she’s use to me wearing bikinis and sport briefs and coming around to thongs but the jammers at a public beach was a hard no lol. Has anyone else experienced this reaction from a partner? If so how did it play out in the long run and how did you navigate it? I’ve gotten to the point where I don’t really care what others think and would like to wear what makes me feel comfortable but obviously value her opinion and she still has her reservations on it.Wife not super keen on jammers.

I wish you the best of luck and extra confidence to break the mold and wear your swim briefs. I am fortunate that I switched to thongs about 5 years ago now - and just a couple of weeks ago worn a swim brief on the beach. I don't "flaunt" my thong underwear around the house, I am a modest person. I've worn swim briefs under my shorts for several years - but this year I took the plunge and my wife was supportive. I've managed to lose about 10 pounds so that helped me boost my confidence but still have many pounds to go. Maybe you could wear them around the house, in the back yard to help you feel more comfortable wearing them and for her to see you in them more often - in a private setting.

First, Im a swim brief guy. I’m a lap swimmer (always in briefs), but when with wife, kids, parents and family in or around water (recreationally like boating beach kayak resort) I always start out wearing a speedo style brief under any swim shorts. I never flaunt or peacock around. But I do peel the shorts off when I’m laying in sun or taking a dip. Been wearing them since I was a youngster. You just have to do it. I’d start out when it’s just the two of you in privacy of home. For your wife’s possible approval I’d go for an athletic style brief like Speedo, TYR or Arena with a 2-3 inch side. Be persistent and make sure you tell her that you find them a lot more comfortable. Don’t talk a whole lot about it…just do it!
