My pet peeve.
Pricing and availability.
Ladies can pick up a multitude of really cheap underwear from the likes of kmart, target etc.
But not for us males.
I've noticed prices are really starting to creep up for us.

Underwear with patterns on the fabric, but it is a contoured pouch with a vertical center seam. The seam ruins the flow and continuity of the design or pattern of the fabric. It's like getting a tattoo and then later you have to have an operation in which the surgeon has to make the incision right over your ink. Now your tat is ruined! That's what a center seam does to print patterns on underwear. If I do buy undies with a vertical center seam, it is solid colors.

Availability is my first big pet peeve. So many brands are constantly sold out of L/XL which tells me that they should increase production on those sizes.

Since 2015 I have worn the Joe Snyder Pride Frame thongs almost exclusively because I have not found anything that comes near it in all categories. The problem I ran into for 8 years was that they were always sold out of XL which in Joe Snyder Land is a 34-36" waist. This also extends out to most of my swim suits from Ergowear, Andrew Christian, N2N, etc. so I would always buy huge quantities because I never knew when they would be available again.

Print is my second pet peeve- I like thongs and swim briefs that are solid colors but my favorite brands (and this is mostly on the swimming side) offer styles that are obnoxiously flamboyant. I don't want prints with bananas on the pouch, or writing on the back like "Juicy" or "Bottom". Tying into Peeve #1 is that these flamboyant prints are never sold out, but the solid colors are.

Third is when a brand screws up a perfectly good design by updating it with a 3" elastic waistband. To me, that just blows up the aesthetics of the look I was going for; thongs are minimalist by nature. If I wanted a giant waistband I wouldn't be wearing a thong.

I feel the same way about the exaggerated branding or logos on underwear. Sometimes simpler is better. Especially a lot of so-called men's fashioned underwear, some of the designs are so busy that I lose interest in wanting to wear anything like those. If anyone has seen how huge the lettering on Hanes white briefs are, you can get an idea, too.

When it comes to underwear terminology, there are certain things that get on my nerves, as well. For whatever reason, there is a tendency of some people to call any kind of men's underwear "briefs". It doesn't matter what the actual style of underwear is. I've seen people call boxer briefs and even regular boxers "briefs" and it drives me up the wall. It also bothers me when people use the term "tighty whities" as a catch-all term for any kind of men's underwear that's shorter than boxers.

My underwear pet peeves? Anything that doesn’t fit properly and causes sideball. Thongs that have WAY too much extra fabric for some reason.

And for me personally at this point, anything that isn’t a cheekie, thong, or G-string.

Why are men's underwear at general stores so boring. boring patters and colours, terrible cuts! (surely men can have more choice that boxers, boxer briefs or trunks. The briefs are generally terrible cut. Compared to women's options the difference is stark!

Don't like a front pouch that goes saggy and you start to escape the side of the pouch. They often feel great but as the day goes on they just sag. Bonds here in Aus just did a special male thong which I bought to support and encourage the idea. They are comfortable to kick off the day but you have to keep pulling them higher to keep them snug.

Cost, so expensive especially here in Aus. I love MeUndies but with shipping and exchange rate they are way too expensive!

Tags are a pain, but can be cut out, except those on the outside, bummer.
Seriously, I've given up shopping for undies in stores, everything is so boring and LARGE! we went into a Bonds store the other day, literally everything as a type of boxer brief, no, normal briefs, certainly no thongs or g strings. WTF?
Expensive here is Oz? Hell yes, I love Cocksox, but they are a little expensive, so I usually wait for the sales, I love Gregg Homme, but US$75 for a brief, US450 for a G string then double that into A$ and postage on top, just rediculous, DUGG is Ok, but I mainly buy form AliExpress now, yes it takes a while to come, but the prices are right, even if they don't fit.

I’m looking at several sites and the price of new gear is getting ridiculous. I’m seeing thongs upward toward $70/80 range. That is insane for a small triangle of fabric.

I hate side ball. It's like some manufacturers cannot get the pouch construction or the gathering quite right. Then there's so much space, it's like well, oops my testicles are showing! I have had a heck of a time with that. (That's one thing I like adjustable pouch underwear like Kyle and Cocksox - less side ball!

Prices - I feel like I can get some good options in the $15 a pair, but that's still a little pricey, and there has to be huge markup. The poor folks making these must not be making enough money. I'll still pay in the $15-20 range if it is super comfy and long-lasting.

Have a diversity of ads and sizes as well.
