Underwear Pet Peeve
Underwear Pet Peeve
We all have brands that we love and buy time after time and brands that we tried once and swore we would never buy again. But I’d like to discuss what your pet peeves are, even if your favorite brand. I’ll start with two of mine, I think it is okay to list brands but if not I will be glad to edit. For starters I don’t like thongs that have a waist band and fabric below the waist band, for example John Sievers (link below). It just seems like too much material and would roll and become uncomfortable. Secondly, branding, when designers plaster there name all over the waist band. I don’t mind a waist band but some designers take putting their name all the way around the band and honestly a single stamping is enough. Even Jockey puts their name all the way around the band, which most are okay with since they have been around since the 1800s lol. And it is probably just me, but there are some Cocksox designs I wouldn’t mind trying but again their label is very bold on some designs and I guess it takes away from the affect to me. For example, Jack Adam’s has a small tag near the waist band and I think this is sufficient. So what are your pet peeves in underwear?

Re: Underwear Pet Peeve
My biggest one would the exposed elastic waistbands. Especially ones that are branded and thick. If they are like a 1/2" or less then if I like the look I'll try them. For example the Doreanse aire thong and the Bodyaware Italian tanga are both exceptions to the pet peeve. I also don't like fabric on the sides if it is the elastic waistband like David_NC said. It reminds me more of briefs even when it is as narrow as a bikini or thong without the exposed elastic waistband.
Then like JustSomeDude71, I' don't like ones with what I call a sleeve (Not sure what they are called either, but agree most would need to be erect for them) or the protrude type ones. I like more of the center seamed contour pouch or a seamless/flat front design. For me I feel they better accentuate.

Re: Underwear Pet Peeve
I have several pet peeves about some underwear. Like many of the guys, I don't like thick waistbands. Large tags with washing instructions etc located in awkward areas can be a pain, especially when you try to cut them off and damage the surrounding material. I don't like one size fits all thongs and g-strings, which are invariably only suitable for guys who have a donkey in their family tree. Underwear that is wrongly described as being a g-string, when the picture shows it clearly isn't, or doesn't show the view of the rear at all. Underwear that is tagged as being "gay!" Sorry guys, I've yet to meet a thong that identifies as gay! Anatomically correct undies with frontal extensions that look like a condom has been stitched on and require the less well endowed to overdose on Viagra to keep the pouch full. Anyone reading this list may wonder how I can have such a large collection of undies, but thankfully there are enough styles out there to satisfy even someone with my long list of peeves! lol

Re: Underwear Pet Peeve
My pet peeves are the affordability of underwear and the cut of some especially those called low rise.
I mean I am not going to spend a hundred dollars for three or four pairs of underwear. I remember when I could buy packs of bikini briefs for $15. And they lasted for a year or more. The quality of some brands especially online is questionable.
I never liked "low rise" cut. I tried equipo low rise bikini briefs, they were alright at first but when I started walking around in them they fell below my butt, I had to go in the bathroom of the mall and readjust them and about 15 minutes later they fell again.
I wish I had my favorite brands back in the 80/90's they fit good and we're affordable.
And speaking of the waist bands rolling. The best waistband for me was joe boxer string bikini briefs they never rolled on me and we're very comfortable.

Re: Underwear Pet Peeve
First peeve: Branding and logos. I won't by anything that has a blatant brand or logo on it. I'm not a billboard. If you want me to advertise your brand I'm the one who needs to be paid, not the other way around. No logos on my package. This literally limits my purchases. For example, and there are many, Daniel Alexander makes some great stuff. But if it has a logo on it, it's off my list. So much of their stuff I can't buy. This applies to the huge waist band branding too. I'm not going to stroke a brands ego.
Second peeve: Non-standard sizing. How hard is it to post a size chart that reflects specific markets? What sense does it make for a M or L guy to buy an XL or XXL? I have to often depend on buyer reviews on Amazon to get the real story, and those are sometimes just shills.
Third peeve: inaccurate, or non-existent fabric description. I just like to know what to expect.
Peeve 4: Get that Gay term and Sissy term out of the product title. Just not helping. People oriented that way know who they are and what they like. I serious doubt they search for products by including those as search terms. Those without that orientation cannot help but be put off by the negative terms. It takes them out of the category, and limits the scope of the product's market reach.
Last peeve: no pictures of the back/rear coverage. Even if it's a thong, there are huge differences around the back. Some have huge wide straps that are just plain uncomfortable. I know they're squeamish about an exposed butt on a website, but hey, it's part of the product description. If I can't see the back of the thing, bikini or thong, I can't buy it.

Another one to add: trying to purchase from a website only to find that the size or pattern I want is advertised but they are out of stock or no longer available.

I would kinda agree with the waist band with the fabric bit, however if you have a waist band like that but with only the slighest little bit of fabric going from the thong to the sides to the front, like maybe 0.5 cm or so it's quite sexy. These ones here I found very cute when I first got it, because of the slight fabric part was visually pleasing when I first got it. The effect is like a almost impossible side as it looks so narrow but then the band still gives you support. I find it a too deep for me now however.
One thing I particular hate more than most is that thongs, and especially g-strings seem to be made so long that you could wear it just under your nipples. I like things to sit somewhat snuggly with a shapely fit. Like the thong should accentuate my body and my body should accentuate the lines of the thong/g-string. Not just something that sits like a thong but has no allure or appeal. Apart from that it sits so high up to 'fit' properly that you feel strangled or otherwise uncomfortable or painful. Has to be low-rise even after pulling it almost all the way up.
Pouches that are "free flowing" or "silky" etcetera. I like a bit of slinkiness or stretchable fabric, but if it's just straight up fabric which offers no support or form, then it's very unappealing and frustrating. I like something that would naturally shape my front into something visually appealing or even 'symmetrically' formed.
Loose waistband is another. If it's not sized properly it also adds to the issue of the loose pouch. Everything just hangs improperly.

I don't like the way the stitching is on some briefs, looks like you are wearing your underwear inside-out.

I know. right! If I am buying a thong, I want to know what the back looks like! Some are advertised as thongs, but they are really g-strings! And some sellers show images of the product with a male model wearing them, but they only show the front view of the model wearing the thong. If I can't see what it looks like in the back, I'm not going to even consider buying it!outside_time wrote: Tue May 18, 2021 10:39 am Last peeve: no pictures of the back/rear coverage. These Asian sellers won't show you an unobstructed view if the thong back, they put that stupid modesty square over the thong! I hate that!

Joe Boxer Thongs were like that. All this fabric in the back. If you tried to wear the thong properly, you have all of this extra fabric in the back, they needed to cut at least 4 inches off of the thong back!sensu4 wrote: Sat Jul 03, 2021 2:31 am One thing I particular hate more than most is that thongs, and especially g-strings seem to be made so long that you could wear it just under your nipples.
