It's this type of shit writing by one mans opinion with a large platform that makes hard for real men to wear what we want. I wish I knew someone with a larger platform to counter his opinion. Nate has a blog & forum but it doesn't get the exposure that men's health does. Oh and guess what the comments are shit off so you can't dispute anything this moron says.
I seen that some tower place in Britain has banned briefs, just one more punch in the you know what for us.
One of the description of the trunks ( Wich I thought was a compartment at the back of car) was it's a perfect length at 2" above the knee. May as well put bricks in the pockets so you sink faster and get it over with. Your wrong the prefect length is .25" off side of my junk aka (sack)!
I'm about ready to move into a nudist camp and only come to work and get food.

Dear Randy. I was toying with the idea of calling you Mr Angry(lol)after reading your latest post, but I think Mr Passionate would be kinder and more appropriate.ralange wrote: Wed Aug 18, 2021 9:01 pm https://www.menshealth.com/style/a19522 ... ing-suits/

I don’t read that particular magazine, but is it possible this article was a stand alone piece on swim shorts that can also be worn as leisurewear, rather than purely at the beach or in the pool? Has there been a similar article on speedos and bikinis in a previous edition of the magazine? If not, then I couldn’t agree with you more and share your outrage! I noticed in his review of the shorts by Speedo that he mentioned they were known for their “teeny-tiny” swim briefs. That could be taken as a dig, because not all speedos are tiny. Also, some of the shorts were 250 dollars!!! Who in their right mind would pay that to look like a dork? Lol.
Thanks once again,Randy, for standing up for the skimpy brigade and brightening my day! You’re a national treasure!
Re: Stupid magazine articles
I'll never get the amount of coverage as Men's Health. Most likely people are only going to stumble across our conversations is if they are looking for bikinis and thongs. You may remember I did a post called Best Men’s Swimwear for the Beach in 2021. I did that post because the results I found were all trunks. Of course it's not going to show in the results anything close to where someone searching on men's swimwear will find it.
Maybe it is a matter of writing an article and submitting it to some of these magazines. Maybe with some luck one would publish one.

Re: Stupid magazine articles
I agree, these types of articles are really annoying and only double down on what the fashion police have forced on American men for a long time. 2 inches above the knee is the sweet spot?! Say's who? Most of those shorts are awful looking and overpriced. And that "publicschoolnyc" short with the guy wearing hi-top sneakers and high socks
The only one of those swim shorts I'd consider buying is that 2xist pair at the end of the list.
As far as getting more exposure for mens bikinis and thongs, I'm not sure. I'll see a positive article on wearing speedos every now and then. It's seems like it's usually from a source like GQ or Esquire which I doubt the average American man pays much attention too. "The Manual" had a pretty good article by one of their writers https://www.themanual.com/fashion/men-s ... r-speedos/. I stumbled on this forum because I was actively looking for websites specifically for bikinis and thongs as Nate said.
On a side note, I can't stand when the male genitals are called "junk". That kind of male body shaming really gets under my skin. My penis and testicles are not junk, they're an important part of who I am physically and sexually as a man. I'm not ashamed of it and while I don't consider myself an exhibitionist, I don't go out my way to hide any evidence of my anatomy with baggy clothing or changing in the locker room. It doesn't define my self worth but I do take pride in my penis. Just my thoughts. Anyway rant off.

Re: Stupid magazine articles
Thanks for posting that positive speedo article from “The Manual!” It was the perfect remedy to that swim shorts feature in “Men’s Health’ that almost sent our Randy over the edge! Lol. I don’t buy any well known magazines or newspapers, so I don’t know how common articles on men’s swimwear or underwear are? Occasionally I might stumble upon something online, but usually it will be a heads up from a member like yourself or Randy that gets my attention. Instagram also have some accounts that focus on swimwear and underwear. I like how “The Speedo Movement” promotes body positivity for all and encourages guys of all shapes and sizes to post pics of themselves wearing their favourite swimsuits. They also help new, up and coming independent swimwear designers promote their collections often by offering a speedo from said company as a free prize.swimmer78 wrote: Tue Aug 24, 2021 6:15 pm I agree, these types of articles are really annoying and only double down on what the fashion police have forced on American men for a long time. 2 inches above the knee is the sweet spot?! There is obviously a market for these new speedo design companies, otherwise they wouldn’t come to our attention, but it can’t be easy when most of the powerful media seem to be against men wearing skimpy styles.
Have to agree with your dislike for the term “junk” being used to describe male genitals. Seems like there are numerous names to describe the penis and testicles which we hear being used from a young age. No wonder so many guys grow up thinking the p word is not to be mentioned!
Re: Stupid magazine articles
I read this article as more than just something to wear while swimming, it was discussing something suitable to wear for swimming and for yard work or lounging afterwards. But it still does not explain why the same could not be done in other styles. I've never mown the grass in just Speedos, but that is more for sunburn issues that being uncomfortable. Younger women and teenage girls commonly wore a bikini (with shorts over the bottoms) but nothing over the top years ago, even for a bit of yard or house work.
If "two inches above the knee" is ideal, I'd say very few of what is shown match that description.
Agreed, this article is rubbish.

Re: Stupid magazine articles
Here is another recent article from Esquire https://www.esquire.com/uk/style/a37267 ... ng-trunks/. Again, I don't think the average guy is paying much attention to Esquire. I don't really like how this author is framing swim briefs; as "horny swimwear" but maybe he's right lol. At least it puts brief swimwear in a positive light.
On a good note I saw two young guys at my pool swimming laps in briefs last week. It was very refreshing to see some others guys besides myself sporting bikinis even if it just lap swimming. I see so many men swimming laps in huge board shorts and it looks terribly awkward.

Re: Stupid magazine articles
I do not like any of these style. Even if I had to wear swim shorts, I prefer mine shorter, like several inches above the knee. I don't want to feel like I'm swimming with curtains around me.
