Unfortunately when I opened the package, I realised that the pouches of the strings were of a lace like material which I'm not a fan off.
I had the same surprise also. As i was filling up my cart, i noticed the g-string and thought why not, sometimes you can luck out with one that fits well. Unfortunately the way the photo is taken, you are barely notice it is lace, but now that i do know its just barely noticeable in the photo. Its fit also didnt do anything for me either.
With that said, i got a few hits and misses with some of their products, but overall for the price i cant complain. I finally got to try them on Ill give a quick overview for anyone who is interested.
First off the hits:
"Really Barely there Briefs"
More of a fuller fit, but super stretchy material. The pattern and cut is actually quite nice, the fabric though is the win im my book, super stretchy, semi sheer depending on the colour. A great day to day brief. Decent room in the front pouch also
"Allover Mesh Briefs"
Similar cut to the barely there style, but overall exactly what one would expect with this type. Puts everything on show, the mesh fabric has a decent amount of stretch compared to other "coarser" style mesh fabrics. Decent fit, and with the bonus stretch of this mesh, gives decent room up front. I would still likely wear these for most special occasions.
"Seamless boxers"
I like to mix it up between the more conventional boxers, and more skimpy wears from time to time. With that said, if it is boxer day, it needs to be as minimal as possible, my typical go to would be the olaf benz mini pant. I typically base all my fitted boxer experience from those types/style. nearly a brief cut with a slightly larger side leg.
The box seamless boxers are a decent 6/10. Great material stretch, thin polyester like the olaf benz, and a very similar fit, legs are a bit longer which i am not a fan of. Only real complaint is that it is double ply in the front, and the colour matching is way off, i got a black pair, and it had a white cotton 2nd ply sewn in. Although a bit stretchy, totally eliminates the more extreme stretch that a polyester garment gives. I might remove the liner but we will see.
"Tanga Briefs"
This is where i believe they have a decently solid product. There were 2 styles that i ordered, the Standard Tanga 2.0, and the "defined crotch" version that they sell. First off the 2.0 was a great overall fit, fabirc had the stretch i was looking for, not too skimpy, but perferctly supportive in the right spot. If you a fan of wider waistbands this is a great choice. My favorite pair out of them all would be the "defined crotch" version. This one is the best of the whole lot imo. Slightly thinner waistband, and absolute acre of space in the front. A super defined pouch. It was a fit that i really enjoyed.
The misses:
"Thong 3.0, Lux Thong, Reg Transparent white"
All 3 of these are basically the same style, and although overall usable, their sizing is way off. I ordered everything in the same size as i typically do, with the Transparent white being out of stock and i had to size down. Even with that, the strap is way too long. I am not a fan of these type of "string" thongs where just the elastic waistband goes from front to back along the sides; when the size isnt right. They have to be spot on if they are going to fit right, if not i find the front sides of the pouch don't provide enough "cup" and things can get exposed from the side. After a bit of fiddling i found that 2-3" of the back thong strap needs to get removed before the front pouch actually begins to hold things in. I wouldn't want to guess how loose these would fit if they begin to wear and stretch after a few uses.
"Statement thong"
For day to day use i typically lean towards a full style thong "full front seat with fabric and waistband that wraps around the sides to the back". Honestly out of all the things i ordered, this was the one item i was really looking forward too. Unfortunately its a bit of a flop, the polyester cotton blend was not as nice as i was expecting. Barely any stretch/give to the material, tied along with being off in sizing made this a not recommended for me. I was honestly surprised how off in size this was compared to others. And would say that it was 2 sizes under in standard fitment, even though i ordered correctly as their other styles. this imo would of been a win if they made this style with the fabric of the tanga/barely there briefs above.
Finally the unexpected win.
i decided to try one of their swim briefs also. Although they call them "trunks" they are definitely a brief cut, and they have 2 different styles under the "trunk" subcategory. One more fuller style brief with drawstring, and one more "sporty" style without a front exposed drawstring. I ordered one of the full style drawstring briefs in my normal sizing, unfortunately during the sale they were out of my size in the sport ones. After trying it on im honestly very impressed with the fit. The seamed front gives a more pronounced look, but still usable for daily use at the pool. We will see how it lasts over time, but the overall fit and finish was decent. It doesn't come close to my favorite grand axis swim brief, but i would say its more "usable" in environments where some modesty is preferred.
For now though i think this will be my only order for box products. Still some improvements to do to take it to the next level of fit, obviously everyone fits different, but alot of other brands are really starting to refine their fits, and these feel a few years behind.
