selling at a profit?

A place to talk about underwear in general that doesn't fit in thongs or bikinis.

selling at a profit?

Post by Delabole »

The other day, I saw on TV that some brand sneakers fetch amazing prices secondhand at auction from those who 'must have' a particular brand and model. Does the same happen with swimsuits? I've often bought a gorgeous swimsuit, and wanting to get another the same, a few months later, not been able to.

If you check out sites like Ebay you will see swimwear advertised as pre-owned rather than second hand or used. I'd imagine that due to the intimate nature of swimwear and underwear, it might be a fairly limited market, but you could always search for a particular suit and get lucky.

I must say that I have never wanted to wear secondhand or pre-owned underwear or swimsuits. But if someone is happy to offer me big money for my old gear, then fine by me!

I feel the same, but I do appreciate that not everyone is in a position to buy brand new. I'm sure some of us have bought a swimsuit and decided after trying it on, that it was a mistake and have given it to a close friend. Technically it could be said it was pre-owned, but in reality, still as good as new. I believe there are sites online where you can donate or swap unwanted speedos, thongs etc, but I don't know how successful they are.

It is rare, but check out the Nike Teraz (I think, maybe? Someone help me out here...) and Speedo thongs on ebay. Unbelievably high prices.
