Women and their control issues

Curious as to why women feel the need to control men over their underwear? Is it insecurity, jealousy, narcissism, daddy issues? Maybe they were raised in a very conservative/religious family and their fathers and brothers just didn't wear anything other than huge, baggy Y-fronts and boxers, and any man wearing non-conventional underwear is a culture shock to them? Maybe they were raised to see men wearing bikinis and thongs as sissy or effeminate? Maybe you can shed some light on this subject.

I've been lucky so far! I have been with 7 different women in my lifetime (Married twice and dated 5 others) and none of them had complaints or issues with the bikinis, string bikinis and thongs that I wear. It was never a disconnect or a deal-breaker with any of them, so I really cannot add any life experience to this thread.

So, guys, if you have ever had to deal with a woman who was pushing you to throw out your skimpies for more conservative boxer briefs of Y-fronts, please tell me how you handled the situation and what was the outcome?

Same as you, I have not had any issues with any women complaining about my underwear being too skimpy. I had one comment from one about 30 years ago that "there's not much to your jocks" (jocks being slang here at the time for any male underwear), but just as a comment about my string bikinis, nothing in the way of a complaint.

We can conjecture as to why some women need to complain, but what we really need is for more women to comment about such issues on this forum. That, sadly, is still lacking.

If it is to do with their man being gay, has the woman never thought why she was asked for a date originally.

I haven't had any complaints either from companions, friends, etc. Similarly, I've had a couple of funny remarks along the lines of "wow, those ARE skimpy." One of the funnier ones was about 20 years ago when I was dating a girl (still a friend) who told me, "well, there's Mr. Right and Mr. Right Now and your underwear definitely indicates the second category." The lead-up to this was the invariable "so....boxers or briefs" type of teasing convo.

I think it's a cultural issue in the U.S that is much different in other countries.
