For those missing European vacations, here is a suit for you.
Bare it all in a comfortable swim brief that will give you the best tan lines and least bulk under shorts or pants before jumping in the water. The briefs come in both green and blue, as well as a super fun neon green with shells. Like all Vilebrequin suits, minimalism is key and, well, they are definitely minimal.
Had to laugh at the description of the only swim brief in the article about swimwear. If that very conservative suit is what they call minimal, then whoever wrote that piece obviously doesn't follow The Bottom Drawer or frequent Instagram. Mind you, compared to some of the truly hideous shorts that also featured in the article, it might seem brief to some of the population. I also think whoever decided to price this dull piece of swimwear at $135 was also having a laugh.
I'm not shy, so I sent the "Post" author a polite and positive email about the Forum and its members interests in the "smaller" versions of underwear and swimwear. I also forwarded the Skinzwear page showing the model wearing the M73 Rio, noting that I had purchased that particular suit myself. Preceding the link, I noted that the picture was in good taste and demonstrated a healthy way to display one's physique. Noting the "Post's" diverse community of readers, I suggested that she could mention Skinzwear as an example of other types of swimwear and give her readers their website address so they could see the offerings for both men and women for themselves. I also gave her my email address in case she wanted to follow up with some more questions about guys' interest in what I termed "microwear." Oh, well, guess we'll see what happens. I will post updates if anything comes of it.

I agree this suit is waaayy overpriced. I am encouraged though to see at least one brief style suit featured in one of these list articles. The fact that it's presented in a positive light is progress IMO. I went to Vilebrequin's website to see if it gave dimensions for the suit. It didn't but these look to have a 5-inch side on the models. It's closer to a square cut suit.

I think this is awesome! She didn't do any of the normal "if you can tolerate it" or "it's not everyone's cup of tea," she just added it to her list. I know it's not as minimal as some on this board prefer but it's skimpy where I come from. I would totally wear one (once I find $135 lol).
The next step would be for the swim briefs to make up a larger percent of the list and be interspersed with the others. Like one at spot 3, 7 and 9 and one would be a much more revealing suit. I don't know. Maybe I'm dreaming. lol
I know this thread is about swimwear of 2022 but found this story on men's shorts. The inseams are rising all the way up to 1 or 2 inches for men. The summer of the thigh is here!

Typical of a British newspaper to make a big deal of someone wearing shorts that live up to the name. It makes complete sense to me for a guy to wear shorts that don't restrict their upper thighs when working their legs at the gym, and anyone old enough to remember track and field athletes from the 70's and 80's will recall guys like Sebastian Coe wearing skimpy shorts slashed at the sides whose running style reminded me of the cartoon character Penelope Pitstop(google her if you don't know who she is). Incidentally, I have noticed a few runners in my area sporting the slashed sided shorts that Coe and others made popular back in the day, so maybe they are making a comeback and we can but hope that speedos might follow when summer finally arrives.
