How many sizes have you gone up?

So at the age of 18 up until age 25, I was a Small in all underwear. Medium was just way too big. At the age of 25 I started working out. Two years later (aka present time), I am now a Medium. Small is a little too tight, but a lot of my Small bikinis still fit. I have been buying a lot of bikinis and thongs lately (thanks to the suggestions on my a previous post), and I have been thinking that maybe I will eventually outgrow the Medium sized underwear that I have, which I am afraid of because I finally found the bikinis/thongs I have always wanted. I am afraid I wont be able to find this type when I am in my late 30's/early 40's (aka my prime time), and I won't be able to wear any of the underwear that I have in my current collection.
Right now, I believe to be at a really good body size. So I don't plan to get any bigger. My goal is just to stay at a semi-thick size and stay healthy, I am not trying to become a bodybuilder.
That being said, how many sizes have you gone up? This includes people who do not workout as well.

I may have bought some smalls in high school but I've been buying mediums for the most part for the past 20+ years. Most brands sizing is pretty similar, but there are some that I fall into the large range that are not Chinese brands. So sizing charts are something we must pay attention to. If you just entered into the medium range with a goal of maintaining your current physique then you should be in the same size for many years to come.

I was a Small (75 - 80 cm) for underwear years ago, and still am. Some chainstores no longer stock Small underwear, but no big deal, I don't buy from them anymore and get everything via internet purchasing. The waist has expanded a bit, so trousers have gone up from 87 cm to 97 cm to be comfortable.

For the last 20 years I’ve always bought a large. I’m stocky, waist has been a 34/35 since high school. I was not a skinny kid, and while I’d like to lose more weight ( 20pounds so far) I will probably not lose my stocky frame - you cannot escape genetics.

When I was at school until your age, I was 6'2" and 165 Lbs (1.88m / 75Kg) I stayed that way for 20 years and then middle age spread started, now Im 100Kg (200Lbs) I've gone from Medium to XL.
Im fit, I go to Crossfit 3 times a week, swim and do a lot of hiking, nothing I do will lose the kilos, well, if I stoped eating and drinking wine, that'd probably help.
In Aussie underwear like Cocksox or Aussiebum or even Gregg Homme, I'm a large, but anything online on AliExpress for example I'm a 2XL or even a 3XL
Id rather my undies fitted nicely instead of being completely tight and uncomfortable, its only a number so I don't get upset by Asian sizes.

I have gained a little weight since high school. I was a 40-inch waist in school... now 35 years later, I am a 48-inch waist.

This is a topic that actually hits a little close because I hit a high weight recently unfortunately, though my gym return is showing promise! I felt I didn't fit well in my thongs anymore, I always order Medium and occasionally Small for a tighter fit, or for bikini style to stay put better (tip inspired by the man himself TBD). The range of gain and loss is around 30lbs over 30lbs under and somehow the Mediums still fit, I don't understand (or believe). Maybe it's a height thing?
As we know though, the material for thongs can honestly be forgiving, though at my ultimate highest the Smalls are finally not feasible. I was really open to going Large on thongs too, but guess it's not needed unless I stop the my gym goal.

Well, I started wearing bikinis when I was 13 and just a kid. I would say I started with smalls. I'm 47 now and wear size Large, which I've pretty much worn for 20+ years. I'd say by late college or grad school I was at an L and have stayed there. I'm 6'1, 220 or so (in winter, probably closer to 230!)

At most just one size. Once I get to Large, it feels loose on me.

Very hard to compare underwear size, especially if you order most of your underwear from Asia. What is an XL here in the states, and would fit a man with a 42-inch hip, would be too tight for a 10 year-old boy to wear in China. I normally wear a 2X in American standard sizing, but most of what I order from Chinese vendors ranges from 4X to 6X, depending on the maker.
