I got thong censored in Sayulita Mexico

Hello fellows.
Since in US is possible to travel now, I went to Mexico-Puerto Vallarta in July, since Puerto Vallarta is so gay friendly place I was able to wear thong all the time at the beach and at the pool of the hotel I was staying.
Around the third day I decided go to Sayulita a cute town one hour away from PV, so my husband and I make a reservation in a Adults Only resort, when we arrived it was a beautiful small hotel, not that big but cute enough.
So, if the place claims is an adults only resort well I decided to wear my thong swimsuit for the pool. My thong is a bulge thong so my bulge was little bit up, but nothing crazy.

The pool was relatively small, I was by myself at the pool, nobody was around except the hotel staff (only women) so I was laying down on the pool chair and I notice the hotel staff noticed my swimwear, i figured that it is a small hotel so it’s no that common for them seeing a male wearing thong so freely.
So, later on, my husband joining me wearing a Speedo, after 30 min of tacking pictures, have fun at the pool, then we laying down on the pool chair again to sunbathing, and the manager approached us and he requested us to cover up and put some shorts on, because we should have respect for the female staff of the resort and the owner (who is a woman as well) and he didn’t want that she saw “that”.
So, I got mad and sourly I answered back “well, I don’t have any other option do I?” And he responded “no you don’t”
I didn’t want to make a scene so I decided to calm down.
The next day I decided to talk to him about it, it was awkward already so why not making it worse.
I asked the guy if I was breaking any rules, so he never responded yes or not, instead he mentioned that I should respect the female staff because I was showing off my bulge, and also the owner (female as well) was very religious and he didn’t want that she sees me on my thong on at the pool and the last excuse was that one of the guesses complained about my swimsuit.
So I responded him back, i requested for a tule book again, also if the resort publicity is bragging about “adults only resort” they should expect to see adults being adults and if his staff can’t handle a man wearing a thong so they were mature enough to this kind of environment, because I wasn’t doing anything inappropriate, I was only sunbathing. Also if the owner is very religious as he said and she is not capable to see a male in a thong sunbathing, well she is in the wrong business. And if true other guesses are complaining about my swimsuit I think they are in the wrong place.
At the last we didn’t end in good terms, I was so upset and I told him I was sorry that such a beautiful place was being managing by a group of immature people are close minded.
Last recommendation… never go to Sayulita, in general is tacky.
