Talking about comebacks! Welcome back Ralange. It's been a while since you graced us with your presence(lol). I read the article which was featured in a British newspaper back in August, and the first thing that struck me was how conservative Mark Spitz's costume was. More of a square cut boxer brief, than a sleek, sexy speedo. It remains to be seen if the British beaches will be teaming with men in skimpy swimwear this summer, assuming Covid restrictions allow for trips to the beach, and I suppose if there continues to be a ban on travel to foreign countries, some guys who would normally wear speedos abroad might be tempted to brave them here, but I wouldn't put money on it. As I've mentioned elsewhere, if my yearly trip to beautiful Sicily falls through this year, I might be persuaded to hit a Scottish beach for the first time in decades, which will give me an opportunity to report on the beachwear delights(or disasters)of my countrymen.

A good read, and it does show one thing - namely, that Speedo styles were the main swimwear in the 1970s and early 1980s here (Aus). Only after that were they ousted by looser-fitting and larger styles. The flabbier figures that far too many of us have now don't help the tight-fitting garments, but there are still plenty of slim males of all ages that could easily wear Speedos, just as there are still plenty of women with bikini bodies, sadly just fewer than there were four or five decades ago.

Here is more proof that we are doing the right thing. Maybe not as extreme as I send it. We need to help the gender confused know that men do exist.
