Have you ever had anyone tease you about your choices in undergarments or swimwear and how did you handle it?

So far I have not had anyone poke fun at my underwear or swimwear choice. Personally not many people know about my choice that I interact with in person. No strangers have said anything to me either about them. I'd probably ignore the strangers and move on. I may expect some teasing from friends for a bit at the most. If it seems to be more than some light hearted teasing then they probably aren't really friend and I should find some new ones.

When I was in middle school there was a comment from time to time from other guys in the locker room when we were changing for physical education classes about the bikinis that I wore. But that is all it was, just a comment here and there. Often I think they were jealous that I had good looking bikinis while they were wearing boring tighty whities and boxers.

Generally, I just chalk it up to the commenter being jealous of your good taste in undies.

Well,
In 2017 I had a trip to Miami, I worn a thong in the beach and for first time posted it in my Instagram, I got so many reactions from my friends,
But in particular I have a friend in my gym whom gets ready for work at the same time, while we are getting dress, we have conversation and I put my thong on and obviously he noticed, well that friend time to time make comments about my thong underwear on front of other friends, I just laughs and I say... “ that’s me, you show try bro, don’t be so up tight”.

I can honestly say I’ve never been picked on for my underwear choice, but I also don’t purposely put myself in a situations where I would be seen in my underwear a great deal. The few times I’ve needed to change at the gym and wore a bikini or string bikini no one seemed to care or notice but I also don’t flash my underwear around.

The sister-in-law found one of my thongs in the wash as we used a shared machine in the apartment. She asked my gf if it was mine, after that she kinda made one or two comments about it and even had my name on the phone as thong plus my name. It was kinda embarrassing at the time since I wasn't too comfortable about people knowing or feeling odd for wearing at times because of peoples percerptions. At times I wanted to give it up completely. Even so I still would want my thong to peek out when I'm out for some woman, and even let my thong tail hang out on clear display for my sister-in-law. It was my guilt pleasure but kinda nerve wracking and guilty ridden afterwards.

But NOW, i've completely gotten over all that and have embraced it fully and since I've started wearing swim thongs to the pool and soon to the beach my choice of underwear would naturally not be in question. If can be seen, on me, in my wardrobe, any which way but the more I'm out in a thong swimwear in public means I care less about people seeing, knowing, commenting etcetetra.

Such a shame your sister in law reacted so negatively and childishly to the discovery of one of your thongs, but thankfully her comments didn’t put you off long term! I assume your brother, who is married to this insensitive person, does not share your taste in skimpy undies? Wouldn’t it be fun if you could persuade him to wear a thong to see the reaction of his wife? Who knows, she might secretly enjoy it? Lol

At the time I was somewhat annoyed as I didn't have the same confidence and boldness that I've developed in the past few months. I doubt he would but from this moment on, it's all about what I enjoy and feel. People I've known from the past or continue to do so I wouldn't be bothered if they see, know that I wear thongs - rather I would be glad to run into people I know seeing me in a thong. And again it's only for me not them or anything else.

However, I would only want to promote it to like minded people; I would like to enjoy it and hopefully be an example that might be useful for some others.

Once, when I was a senior in high school, I was changing in the locker room and one of my friends saw my underwear and blurted out, somewhat loudly, "OH MY G-D, YOU WEAR BIKINI UNDERWEAR!!!" In a locker room full of teenage boys. He embarrassed me and could have caused me a lot of trouble, but I don't think anyone else heard him.

An appropriate response to something like that is, "Yes, yes I am. Have you ever tried them? They are really comfortable."

Of course, as a bunch of teen boys, logic rarely dictates what they do or say. Apparently it wasn't a bother to anyone else, as no one paid him any mind.
