Maybe I am obsessed with thongs?

Good afternoon - I just came across this forum today. In recent weeks I started buying thongs. I collect underwear but in recent years have gravitated to boxer briefs, which are fine some of the time. I now have about a dozen thongs, mostly from Krakatoa and Awry. These are underwear, but I also ordered the swim thong in maroon from Awry. I am a 75 year old single gay man, although I don’t look my age, somewhat overweight, but not grossly so. I am sitting out on my balcony typing this, partially concealed from the neighbors, in my thong underwear. It is hard for me to pinpoint why I am so fascinated with thongs. Trying to feel sexy, being a little daring, wanting to feel younger than my actual age?
I do like wearing the underwear and like the feeling of my bare butt cheeks. The main negative is the butt crack strap can act as a” butt floss. “. I have found that the strap goes up the interior of my orifice back there and if not very careful in cleaning that area, including up the office with a wet wipe, that I get a skid mark on the strap, which I find distasteful.. So, I am am earnestly trying to practice better hygiene. The one I have had on for several hours today has, to my great delight, is lacking in skid marks. Right now I have on a Krakatoa and I had thought the pouch for my not so big package was too large. The Awrys have a smaller pouch, which if properly adjusted, are comfortable enough, but it is easy for my testicles to slip out of the pouch. But just for giggles I have on order three Awry V Strings which should be delivered next week. I am curious to see how the package will fit in those. I just love wearing these. Maybe just to prove that I am not an old fart.
The Awry swim thong was delivered a few days ago, which is of heavier material with a drawstring. At this time I would feel self conscious wearing it at my local swim club, although I do wear Speedos there. In a few days I am going to Los Angeles and staying in a big city hotel with an outdoor pool and intend to make my Grand Debut of my swim thong there. For some reason I find this more exciting than skinny dipping, which I have done plenty of in my time. I don’t think there will be a problem with the thong at the hotel, but will bring another swimsuit in case there is an objection. As for my local swim club, only once have I seen an adult man in a thong there. Maybe eventually I will be the second! I think one reason I am doing this is my body self image. I look at myself in the mirror in the swim thong and what is below the waist looks OK, but my stomach overhangs the thong. It is not an award winning beer gut, but it is there and is what I most dislike about my body. I have lost in previous years a considerable amount of weight, but gained about half of it back. This thong idea has me motivated so that I hope to reach a point with less stomach so that I like my physique better. I look forward to hearing from some of you.
