Do women enjoy seeing a man in a thong if they notice him wearing one out in public. Do they find it attractive a turn on or dislike it?

Although I cannot give you an answer on behalf of a women's perspective I can tell you from my own experience that the seven women I've been with did not mind me wearing thongs in fact I believe they liked them very much. I think more women would broach the subject with their husbands and boyfriends but they're afraid of what their man would think if they dared suggest such a thing so they don't.
Likewise there are a lot of men out there that are curious about wearing thongs and bikinis and string bikinis (how they would fit and feel and look on their bodies) but they are embarrassed to bring the subject up to their wife or their girlfriend because they are afraid she will lose respect for him and think less of him or perhaps think of him as less of a man or sissy and they won't respect him anymore.

It’s impossible to make a blanket statement for all women. Thats like asking if all men like bourbon. Of course not every woman likes a man in a thong. But yes, there absolutely are plenty out there that like it and find it attractive. There’s plenty that don’t like it. And there’s plenty that just don’t really care one way or another.

I will echo the sediment that making a blanket statement about what women may like is impossible. My experience is that there are women that like men in thongs. I’ve had a few women tell that seeing my confidence and my thong drew them to me. I’ve had women speak up to defend my right to wear a thong and make it know they liked seeing me and said I looked good. I’ve had women at resorts and on cruises purposely sit next to me because they saw a man in a thong.

On the other side, I’ve had a few, very few, women tell how I should not be wearing a thong and that it was disgusting. I’ve had more women simple not care one way or the other. Lastly, I’ve had a couple women wrongly make an assumption about my sexual orientation. But given the number of positive comments I’ve gotten from women over the years I’d say more liked a confident man wearing a thong.

You said it... "confidence"

A man who wears thongs and bikinis shows a woman that he is self-confident and secure in his sexuality. I have had at least two women tell me that.

In my opinion, culture plays a role in how male thongers are perceived. In cultures where gender roles and expectations are rigid or strictly defined, a male thonger might come across as 'unusual'. I was dating a Latina last year, and she initially thought that I was gay because she couldn't picture a guy in a thong. In her mind, thongs were strictly meant for women.

In Europe and North America, gender stereotypes are more fluid and less defined, so a male thonger might be perceived as 'interesting' or 'unique'.

At the end of the day, you're unlikely to find a woman who is super enthusiastic about you wearing thongs, simply because most women view thongs as normal everyday underwear.

I honestly do like to see a thong on a man. I've only seen it a couple times in person but I always admire the confidence and, yes, I think it's sexy.

I think it will totally depend on your geographic location and the local culture. There are some women that I've met that thought women in thongs were ugly. And then there are some women, if they were ever presented with the option, well who knows! A friend of mine ran the last leg of a relay running race in a Christmas thong and some of the women I know got a lot of enjoyment out of that.

I have rarely seen men in thongs in the PNW; though, I have on very rare occasions seen men (20ish maybe - I think it was a co-ed university group) in thongs.

Where I live, you are more likely to see folks skinny dipping in the lakes, rivers, or mountain lakes; though, it's common to see women swimming in thongs. Where I live it's either one extreme or the other (although nudism is more popular at the local nudist resort though there are plenty of folks that go skinny dipping in the summer). And granted, there is a disproportionate number of clothed swimmers than skinny dippers.
