Hiding your skimpies as a teenager?

Who had to hide your bikinis and thongs, when you were teenagers, fearing that your parents or older siblings wouldn't understand or accept it?

Once I finally had a job and was making my own money at age 15, I was buying the smallest men’s bikinis I could find. Yes, I hid them from my mother. She was/is a person who believes real men don’t wear “that kind of stuff.” Every so often she would find my collection, make a big deal about it and throw everything away. I’d get the talk about how young men don’t wear “that kind of thing.” In a couple days I would turn around and start buying a new collection of bikini underwear. She would find them, throw them out, and the cycle would start again. Then I started hiding my stash in groups. That way if she found one group she wouldn’t go looking for the next group and I would have at least half a dozen pairs of bikini style undies at the ready. I didn’t start buying thongs until I moved out of the house and went to college. But I sure wanted thongs long before then. If my mother had found a thong she would have lost her mind.

What’s funny is I always wore the smallest Speedo bikini swimsuits and she had no issues with that.

This is exactly what I powered through in 9th grade in the late 80s. Just wore them, period, and the folks eventually learned to deal with it. Of course, they weren't thongs back then, but string bikinis and bikinis, exclusively.

I remember having my first thong and hiding it, I used to hand wash and put in back of drawer when dry. Because no one would ever look in the back of a drawer!

nope. I was lucky. Mom was cool. Never had to hide them. She wanted her nerdy son comfortable and shame free. She didn't care my sister, and her boyfriend got me 2 pairs of bikini briefs. one sky blue and one white. never said a word about it. She did not even question why I wanted colored Spalding low rise briefs. never said anything when I came how from college about my FTL ribbed or Jockey low rise colored y fronts

My mom bought me bikinis when I was younger (can't remember age but somewhere around 9, 10, or 11 as I had expressed some interest cause that was what my dad had at the time. I remember later as a teenager they had string bikinis in the Men's department at JC Penney, and I remember my mom not at all being comfortable with getting those for me. Well, I had some bikini underwear, and I had the idea of trying to make them more skimpy myself. Well, total fail, and I probably ruined a few pairs, and I had stashed them somewhere. My mom found them, and she was not at all happy and did not understand why …I had cut up all my good underwear. Well, I wish we could have had those discussions (I had a wonderful Mom - minor regret that I couldn't talk about that though I was just a kid). My dad meant well; though, his head was totally in the clouds.

I grew up with 3 older sisters. I just had to hide the fact that I would wear there skimpy thongs and panties. I never went through there drawers just the hamper.

I wore bikini and briefs any way bit did take some of my sister's frilly panties out of the throw out pile so hid those and hid some home made thongs I had made. Mum found them all once and that caused some uncomfortable conversations.

I was fortunate I didn’t have to hide my string bikinis since my mom bought them. I did hide the thongs I eventually bought. They were hidden in either my bottom drawer or my old gym bag at the bottom back of my closet. I would hand wash them and hang to dry when no one was home.
