Shopping for undies/swims etc

I buy mostly online now, but for many years I have always loved shopping for undies etc in stores (big and small). I have always found it to be erotic for me, especially seeing what others are buying. Watching guys deciding which thong or skimpy bikini to buy has often decided my own purchase. On a few occasions this has resulted in the odd conversation about undies and recommendations etc. I was wondering anyone else have the same experience ?

I certainly have. I’m in my late 20s but went to get a skimpy jockstrap at an erotica store when I was 18. and wow… what an experience haha I even had someone in the store help me try it on :P

My Stepmother bought most of my bikini briefs in high school and beyond, but I saw some lovely low-rise bikinis in the Dillard's in the mall near my college and had to add them to my drawer. I circled back in on a slow morning and hoped to grab a box and quietly check out at the register in the men's section as I had anxiety about what a stranger might say about my skimpy undies (ridiculous in hindsight). I went up to the empty kiosk as a lovely middle aged lady popped out of the back.

'You all set, dear?'

I wanted to run, but nodded slid the box on the counter. I prayed for a scan and stuff into a super discreet bag, but I got the whole process.

'Well, these are so cute. You sure you got the right size, hun? Can't really return them.'

She scanned and I told her I was sure ma'am. She smiled as I am sure I was blushing. She read the box.

'Murano bikini briefs. These comfortable? You know, they have thongs now. Would you prefer those?'

She set a 3-pack of black Murano sport thongs on the table from behind the Kiosk. I was so embarrassed but I wanted those too. I asked if I could get a pack of those too. A perfect sales tactic.

'Of course, hun. They only have black right now, but I have one pack of size large left.'

I paid and was so actually buzzing. She gave me the full sales smile.

'I hope you love those, honey. Have a good day.'

I was so embarrassed at the time, but now looking back, I love it. Would love to get the same experience in-store again.

Reminds me of the first (and only) time I bought thongs in store. Naturally I went there just for those but bought other random stuff so I could try to disguise it with my other purchases. Even vetted the check out person and chose the one who looked the least judgmental lol. Didn’t have the same upsale tactic though.

I love to peruse the underwear department to see what is available and what other guy's are buying. When I first started to buy skimpier underwear, I too was embarrassed and would try to hide it with other things that I was buying. Or I would go to the cashier when nobody else was around. When I bought my 1st pair of thongs, I went to a department store that was not close to where I lived so that nobody I know would see me. Looking back, I'm not sure what I was afraid of.
I now shop and buy my thongs without even thinking about who will know. I've worn thongs as my normal, everyday underwear for 25+ years.
