So I work in retail, which took me over to the women’s underwear section of a department store. What caught me off guard is that, as much as guys who care about underwear complain about the lack of options (cuts, brands, materials, styles), women’s underwear is honestly heading in the same direction.
It kind of confirmed something I already suspected. Online and specialty shops (like Victoria’s Secret) have basically gutted what department stores and big-box stores offer, for both men and women.
Before this, I always thought it was mainly men’s underwear that got the short end of the stick in department stores. Turns out, nope… everyone’s getting the same bland, watered-down selection now.
Nothing like walking into a giant store and somehow finding fewer real choices than you would scrolling your phone for five minutes. Modern retail, really nailing it.
