When did kids discover your underwear
When did kids discover your underwear
I’d like to have a side conversation on Italians topic. What age did your kids learn you wear thongs. Or what age did you learn your dad (or mom) wear thongs? My son is 6, he’s sort of seen me in a thong but has no idea what it is. My daughter is 9 never seen me in a thong. Both have seen me in a pair of briefs. She’s helped a few times with laundry but never really noticed. I am not going to walk around my house in just a thong with my kids home. Nor do I want to it to seem strange dad wears non-conventional underwear. How do you normalize it when your wife doesn’t wear thongs.
Re: When did kids discover your underwear
My kids know that I wear thong underwear. While they probably have not seen me wearing it other than peeking above my waistband, they have seen it in the laundry, drying on the rack, etc. This has been since they were little kids. So, I don't think that we have ever discussed my underwear because they have always seen it as just Dad's underwear.

We have twin daughters that just turned 30. They knew I wore them when they were in their early teens. It’s always exciting on my birthday and Christmas to see what skimpy thongs and strings they get me!

I guess I come from the perspective of the kid. My dad never hid them or anything though he didn't exactly parade around in them either. I saw them in laundry or being put away. Occasionally if he got undressed in front of me I'd see them but he would cover up quickly. And I think the fact that he didn't make it a big deal lead to it not being a big deal.
I will say I'm not sure how to approach it with a daughter but I would just say treat it like any other kind of underwear. They might ask questions, they might not but its only weird if you make it weird.

I just do my best to act as if they are normal underwear. Both my kids (one of each) know I have underwear with no rear. Do they know they are called thongs I do not know. They really haven't commented much on them. Probably mentioned them more when they were younger than they do now. I think I've heard more from them on me wearing swim briefs! I don't try to hide it from them nor walk around the house in them. The most walking I may do is from the bathroom after a shower to the bedroom, since we do not have a master bathroom. I also sleep in them, so they may catch me in them if they wake up in the middle of the night or potentially in the morning. At times they've walked in the room when I'm changing too. Guess I have changed out of my swimsuit with my son in the changing room too, so my kids do get glimpses of them. It is all about just acting as if they are normal underwear, which they are. Just not mainstream for us guys. I feel if they're just use to you wearing the style that should normalize it for them. Oh that is just what Dad wears.
