So everyone probably knows AC closed down. He blamed the lower cost underwear on amazon or other sites, saying he couldn't compete with the cheap fast fashion. I would say AC went the way some premium underwear brands go, They produce many interesting styles and slowly the quality declines. I bought many styles of AC when he first started and through out the years but stopped like 5 years ago because the sizing was off, quality was disappointing. I bought a lace thong (one black, one white) and i wore them each once and they fell apart. So rather then blame competition he should have re-looked at what he was doing with sizing and quality. I will gladly pay for ergowear, n2n, bodyawarr, ck, and others because i trust what i am getting. Just my 2 cents.

Interesting experience. Sorry to hear it.
I never had a problem with the fit or construction of Andrew Christian’s items. I am a bit sorry to see the end. I see that coming for N2N as well since that business is up for sale too. It does seem like our options are getting a bit smaller at the current time.

I have maybe one or two pieces from AC, many of his styles just weren't me. To me, and underwear designer needs should have a good base collection that stays consistent - you can always mix it up with color options from year to year. Then you can add specialty lines or limited edition lines or experimental lines to poke interest and if the market is there, build on that. AC, to me, seem more about changing the last three too often and not focusing on the base. I do not want to see N2N close down, I need to buy more just in case - I missed out on Prevail Sport that way also.

It's to bad to lose another underwear company . I have a couple of ac thongs and jocks . Thought they were pretty good. I hope N2N doesn't go away . The past couple years I have added a few pairs and certainly be bummed if they went way.
