Besides your house where do you feel safe showing your thong?

I wear them at the gym while working out and in the locker room, at the lake while swimming, sunbathing and hiking, and at the doctor's office.

I always wear a thong when I visit the massage therapist, but she always just tucks the sheet under it: down when she's doing my back, up from the sides when she does the glutes and a third time when she does my thighs. She doesn't "see" it per se, but she knows I'm wearing one.
She hasn't mentioned anything about it. I kinda want her to, though.

Home, Dr, Skin check, massage. Those would be the only places I am blasé about it. Have recently changed into one in a change room after going to a hot spring. I am becoming more and more comfortable.

I enjoy wearing them when at the beach. I have multiple thongs and gstring swimwear for men, it certainly does feel quite sexy to wear them when at the beach. To be able to layout it the sun, walk along the sand and swim in something that is quite minimal is exciting to do. That would be my favourite place.

I find it odd that guys wear anything while getting a massage! I'm always naked under the sheets when I get a massage. As a former licensed massage therapist, we are trained to cover the intimate areas that we don't massage (genitals, butt crack, women's breasts) so even a thong isn't necessary.

I never thought of that!
For my first appointment with her 6ish years ago, I wore a thong on the table and didn't think twice about it. Maybe subconsciously I thought that being completely naked was over the line, but you're right.
Like I said, she uses my thong to hold the sheet in place depending on which area of my body is uncovered, so maybe she doesn't get naked clients that often?
I suppose I could ask her during my next appointment. We get along really well so it's probably not an awkward question to ask.

Since all my underwear is thongs and 99% of my swimwear is thongs, there isn’t much I do without wearing a thong, beach, pool, resorts, gym locker rooms, festivals and intimate encounters have all been occasions to show my thong. Basically I feel safe wearing a thong in most places. The only place that I regularly go that doesn’t allow thongs is my gym pool. There I wear the smallest bikini style I can get away with.

Some places that I’ve been to have explicitly told me to keep my underwear on. It’s not my preference but I comply. The one time that I didn’t, the masseuse came back and brought the manager who was pretty upset.
This type of thing only happens when it’s my first time at a new place. I haven’t returned to any of those places because I prefer to not wear anything. But I have a thong on just in case.

I’m trying to feel more confident in more environments so I’m trying to wear them in more places that could be seen, even though I’m not comfortable (“safe”) yet. So for me, there are different level:
Safe: gym, locker room, spa, massage, work (wide waistband only), public/resort pool with a few people, medical appts, going out socially, running errands
Safe enough to do it: Pilates class, dance class, public/resort pool any amount of people, work (strings)
Theoretically safe but haven’t tried it yet: beach not typically known for nudity/thongs with a few people around.
