hey guys I've been lurking here for a couple weeks and wanted to say hello.
so bizarre to find myself here however I thought I'd post my story.
I was always a boxers or boxer briefs guy. Like for decades. I'm 43 now and have been wearing boxers or boxer briefs since I was a teenager. A few years ago I got some "hip briefs" from CK where I usually get my underwear. It almost felt weird to wear something other that boxer briefs but I really liked them. less material = more freedom and it felt good.
A few weeks ago I went to buy new hip briefs and thought maybe I'd buy some "sport briefs." I'd seen them before - they had less material and I thought they would be comfy. well CK didn't have any in cotton and I prefer natural fibers for underwear. CK had some thongs and I was sort of wary of buying them because "dudes don't wear thongs." However I almost dared myself to buy a 3 pack and I did. I thought I'd probably be embarrassed and throw them out. I was mortified that the package would have a tear or something and I'd be exposed. I guess my premonition came true and when I got the box it was barely taped, someone fucked up with the tape job and only one corner of one flap was taped... the tape didn't run down the center but only had like a half inch of tape on one of the flaps so it was almost wide open when I got it... no packing slip - must have slipped out. but whatever I got over it.
I was nervous to try on the thong but when I did, man it felt good. It's true that less material = more freedom. The fabric between the cheeks felt a bit odd for a few days, but after I got used to it, man, what a free feeling. It feels liberating, fun, sexy, and free.
Since then I've bought a whole bunch more. I bought a few ikingsky versions from amazon, got a couple "meundies" ones, and have a few c-in-2 varieties coming including the minimal, zen and hand-me-down. I also got the "obviously apparel" one which really feels like wearing nothing at all.
I actually don't like the meundies ones that much despite the rave reviews. They started pilling after one wash and I prefer the strictly banded ones with no fabric on the side. The airflow and no-sweat feeling is great. The CK ones expose some "side ball" which is really nice with airflow, keeping the boys dry.
I bought the CK 3 pack a couple weeks ago, and now I have 7 thongs total with three c-in-2 ones on the way. I have 3 more of the "meundies" ones that just arrived but I think they are lower quality and prefer the no fabric on the side varieties so I may return them.
Anyway that's my story... I'm a total convert at this point. they feel great, look great, and I'm not sure I'll ever wear anything else. I wear cotton boxers at night so my morning wood isn't encumbered by fabric, but I've laid in bed with a thong on and it feels so much better to roll over with them and not have to worry about extra fabric binding up... I'm always adjusting my boxers when I roll over. I want to start sleeping in a thong. I've slept in the ikingsky thongs from amazon which are stretchy and they felt fine, so I might buy a bunch of them to sleep in but I'm not sure. If you guys have any sleep thong recommendations lmk. I've read that the JM thongs are nice to sleep in. I'm open to other recommendations too.
Anyway, that's my story, glad to be here and I think I'm a thonger now.
