First time swim thong

Post by David_NC »

So it happened, I wore just a thong for the first in the pool. As exciting as it was it was also nerve wrecking. I had been doing yard work at my home and then my mom's, the temperature and sun were hot. My mom left while I was finishing up - I knew she would be gone for a couple of hours and her pool is private. So after finishing up, I decided to go to the pool, slip off my shirt, sneakers and shorts and jump in the pool in just the iKingsky thong I was wearing. I swam around for 30 minutes, got out of the pool walked to the chaise lounge and laid out in just a thong for a bit - but it was so dang hot I got back in the water for a bit longer. It was funny, as many swim thongs I have, my first time was and underwear thong - but at least similar material. I just knew that it was "now or never" if I wanted to try just a thong in the pool. It was fun, exciting, exhilarating, nervous, so many emotions.

I did take enough time to snap a few pictures for IG story, they disappear after time so another exciting first for me.

That's great, David! I'm so proud of you for doing that...I know it was exciting to be in a pool in a thong--it's an incredible rush and a lot of mixed feelings but I hope you loved it! It'll be easier and less nerve-wracking the next time hopefully....maybe you'll do it in an actual swim thong the next time! IMO the only thing better than laying out in a thong is laying out in a G-string or laying out nude!

Great story David! I don’t have the guts to wear a thong at a swimming pool. On the beach, no problem i always wear a thong.
By the way: most of my thongs are ‘underwear’, but made of the the same fabric as ‘swimwear’. Except the thickness of the fabric: underwear fabric is thinner and more stretchy. That’s why most of my swim thongs are actually ‘underwear’. It’s very hard to see the difference, and I find thinner fabric more comfortable and it dries more quickly. Most of my thongs are wet-look black which is 100% opaque and I like black for swimwear.

Congrats on the break through David! I had my first "swim" thong experience one day back in April at a remote part of a beach near Pensacola. I don't have an actual swim thong, but wore one of my Ergowear Hip thongs. It made a pretty decent substitute in and out of the water. It's made of polyesther and elastane and wasn't transparent when wet. Felt amazing to swim in the sea in a thong! There were very few people around that walked by me. You're right its very exhilarating! That was a rare opportunity for me alone at a beach, so I don't know when I'll get to do that again.

Great story, David!! You said you took some photos for IG story. Did your friends see those photos? Or do you have a secret IG account?

kiyoothong - My IG account is hidden from family/friends. It is strictly my thong enthusiastic account, so none of my family/friends would have seen the images.

I was fortunate to get some more pool time this past weekend. I wore a swim brief under my swim shorts on Friday and thong under my swim shorts on Saturday. The thong certainly feels different - there is a certain grip with a thong you don't get with a swim brief.

To all of you that have had a first time experience of wearing a thong in public, Congratulations! I hope you find the confidence and comfort to continue to do so.

I’ll share two stories, one about a first time and one about the most recent time. Hopefully it will show a progression of confidence.

Working up the courage or confidence to wear a swim thong in public is something most of us have had to endure. I’ve been wearing thong swimwear for many years now and I still have a case of the nerves when visiting a new beach or pool. Some places are a lot easier to thong than others. I remember one of my first times wearing a thong on a public beach was nerve wracking as all can be. I had bought the swim thong a few months earlier and debated with myself for weeks about wearing it on a beach. I knew it was only a matter of time before I would work up the courage and step out in my thong. I had never worn shorts as swimwear, only briefs and bikini style swimwear. Those bikinis kept getting smaller and smaller as the years went by. Finally having a swim thong was a huge rush for me. I had been wearing thong underwear for a few years by then. But, now I was taking it a step further. Finally one summer day I was at the beach. I wore my swim thong underwear my short shorts giving myself no option for swimwear outside of what I had on. It took me quite a while to shed my shorts the first time. When I finally did I thought everyone was looking at me. They weren’t. I sat on my butt for a good hour before becoming so hot I needed to get in the water to cool off. There I was walking into the water, buns exposed in my thong for all to see. When I exited the water I had a few college age women set up very near me. Since I was a college student myself at the time I started getting anxious. No need for that. Soon enough the women set up near me were talking with me, telling me they liked my thong and my hard ass. They liked my courageous attitude. Little did they know I was near a meltdown most of the day. But it sure helped to have these young women propping me up. Today this is one fond memory.

Now I wear thong swimwear anywhere that it is allowed and legal. But, some environments still give me pause. Recently I was at a beach in a very uptight, religious and conservative community. Not one thong or cheeky suit on the beach worn by a woman or a man. I wore one of my most conservative thongs for the day. As I was setting up I picked a spot where there weren’t too many people. That didn’t last long. With in an hour I was surrounded. I could hear the loud whispers and see the eye rolls and dirty looks. It was not the most comfortable place I’ve ever worn a thong, but no one said anything to me directly. I kept to myself, read my book and listened to music in my ear buds. Overall I was able to enjoy the beach as long as I kept my confidence and not bring attention to myself.

I wouldn’t suggest someone new to wearing a thong in public going to this type of beach. Instead find a place that has a fun vibe where there are other people (women mostly, as seeing men in thongs is rare) wearing thong bikinis, bring a friend for support, and find a place to set up near a group that seems fun. Lastly, don’t hide. You are there to enjoy the day just like everyone else.

David, great story and congratulations. It's a great feeling to be in the open in a thong. Keep taking the steps then maybe one day you'll try it out at the beach. My next adventure is to wear a thong to a water park.
