Teenagers now wearing bikini briefs. Are they coming back? A sighting

Please delete if this doesn't meet guidelines. A few months ago we needed some very heavy furniture moved and set up in the house. The neighbors have two very muscular teen sons who helped. One a football player and one a basketball player. The muscular football player is wearing white see thru shorts. He bends over to pick up the dresser and you could see blatant bikini brief lines . I looked away out of respect and did not say anything because that would have been inappropriate but I was surprised a big tough teen football player is wearing bikini briefs. Are they becoming "the norm" or "more acceptable ". "Cool" or "rad" with high schoolers bow.

I would certainly hope so! Especially from an athletic standpoint, bikinis have a much better range of and freedom of movement. I've never understood the appeal of boxer shorts on teen and 20something guys, other than they can wear them like shorts in public...they're definitely a challenge to wear comfortably under jeans or slacks that aren't roomy, but that's just my opinion.

Some shorts have an inner brief, so maybe that is what you saw?

If the men's underwear currently being offered in stores is any indication, then I would say there's no trend towards bikini briefs. From what I can see it's pretty much all boxers and boxer briefs. While I suppose guys could be buying bikini briefs online, most teen guys don't buy their own underwear. It's mostly their mothers still purchasing their underwear at that age.

Its not a huge step forward, but it does help that fashion is a big item nowadays well, as always right? I guess depending in your city, but peopoe want to dress well. Even non sexy underwear guys avoid VPL. The huge briefs of old are probably out of the way. I see the new stuff offered tighter, and more flattering. Sure its still a big waistband or whatnot, but there is a push for more sexy underwear. Boxers are gone, some pairs that make your buns look chiseled are in.

Is American Eagle still a cool brand? It was when I was younger and I still like some of their clothes but I feel like they are tailored towards a younger demographic. With that being said, they aren’t bikinis but they do at least sale briefs. To me this gives hope that some younger people are still wearing briefs and not totally brainwashed on boxers or boxer briefs. Just food for thought.
