I am really liking this board because it is very supportive and encouraging. I'm a fellow supporter and promoter of men's thong underwear and swimwear. I wear thongs proudly and exclusively.

We all know that we can feel that strip of fabric between our cheeks and I happen to enjoy that reminder of what I am wearing. Welcome to the forum, I also have a love of thongs and wear them pretty much daily. I do not wear thong swimwear, as I'm not confident enough to wear them in public. I often forget I'm wearing a thong, but occasionally the material will rub just right and it sends a little surge. Thongs do give me a confidence boost, as it is something I enjoy and no one else is aware of my underwear choice. I have not engaged in butt play with my wife, we are a bit vanilla I guess lol. This topic is very intresting as it tries to search if there is a colleration between the enjoyment of wearing thongs and anal fun.
It could be a part of other topics, like " thongs and masculinity", " why are you wearing thongs"," do you feel your back strap" and others..but it reach the searching area from a different point of view and thats why deserves to talk about..
expressing my personal point of view, thongs have no colleration with anal games as they have being described.
Yes, we maybe have to agree that all the thongers enjoy the feeling of the strap between their cheeks.even when we dont feel it, i think that we enjoy the knowledge that the strap its there.
At least, this is my case.
But this enjoyment doesnt mean that we are into anal play like pegging, butt plugs and so on.because we are talking about the happy feeling of the strap rubbing the area between our cheeks / hole and not penetration.
For me they are two totally different things.
Thats why, in my opinion, many men who are into tighty whities - to use a extreme example- are into pegging and thongers doesnt know even the existance of butt plugs - also another extreme example -.

I like to wear thongs not because of sexual ideas in the background, it's all about comfort. So wearing a thong just because I will have the feeling it will rub my butt hole, that's definitively not my kind of fun and idea.
But it's doesn't mean that dont like butt play, on contrary I enjoy it, but it has nothing to do with liking thongs at all. Thongs for me are just a piece of cloth, not a sextoy of anykind.

I Have recently gotten into wearing thongs partly because of Butt play. I totally get what you mean about enjoying the feeling of a thong - it’s part of the appeal for many of us. As for the rest, everyone’s preferences are unique, but I wouldn’t be surprised if there’s some overlap. A lot of thonger guys are naturally more open-minded when it comes to exploring comfort, confidence, and sensation.

Would be interesting to hear if others see a connection between their love for thongs and other experiences. Either way, it’s great that you and your wife are so open and enjoying what works for you!

I also enjoy anal play during intimacy with my wife and during solo pleasure. Mostly just light stimulation and rubbing around my hole. I haven't really got into toys and penetration much except for an occasional finger. I think this has made me very comfortable and at ease with that part of my body, so the sensation of a thong strap back there is pleasing to me and not annoying. So yes, there probably is some correlation for me between my enjoyment of erotic anal pleasure and wearing thongs, but it's not my main reason for wearing them, though. With some pairs I don't even notice the sensation made by the back strap. I like the support in front they offer and like CThong said, I like the comfort thongs offer over convention underwear styles and how I look in them. It's interesting. Although I much prefer wearing suits that provide more full coverage in the back, I've been having some thong fantasies involving me with another sexy lady also wearing a thong at resort or adults-only pool.
