TV shows that show men in bikinis/ leggings

I absolutely remember that scene from when I was a kid.

That also reminds me of a scene in "Meet the Parents" in which Ben Stiller's character has to wear a borrowed speedo for a family gathering. The scene is played for laughs: borrowed swimsuit, a "set-up" from the fiancé's ex boyfriend, a somewhat loud swimsuit print, etc.

I remember that scene and while the setup was mean it was great the Ben Stiller rocked the speedo. Another Ben Stiller movie was Along Came Poll with Hank Azaria wearing a white/blue striped bikini near the beginning of the movie.

This example didn't show the actor wearing a bikini, but I couldn't find another post on the forum that covered this issue. I recently saw an episode of The Big Bang Theory in which Sheldon was trying to persuade Howard to introduce him to Steven Hawking. Howard agreed, but forced Sheldon to carry out various labours on his behalf, one of which was to do his laundry. While Sheldon was in the laundry room folding Howard's clothes, Penny came in and picked up a very racy animal print bikini, which as anyone familiar with the show will know, is not Sheldon's style. When Sheldon mentioned that the bikini was Howard's, she immediately threw it down in disgust and asked Sheldon why he was washing and ironing Howard's "man panties?" It may have been a throwaway line, but given the global popularity of the show, it certainly didn't do any favours to those men who champion the wearing of such skimpy underwear.

I remember an episode of "The Nanny" where Fran was doing a load of laundry and CiCi walked in to talk to her, CiCi picked up a pair of men's tiger-print silk bikinis and asked (quite hopefully) if they were Mr. Sheffield's underwear. Fran said, "No those are Niles'" (the butler) and she instantly went from hopeful to disgusted as she dropped them back into the pile of clean laundry.

Is anyone familiar with a programme called I'm a Celebrity......Get Me Out Of Here!? It is set in the Australian jungle and features British celebs who have to do various trials that usually involve being covered in insects or eating disgusting bush tucker. One of the contestants, Mike Tindall, is a former England Rugby Union player who also happens to be married to the late Queen's granddaughter. He caused quite a furore and was roundly slagged off for daring to strip down to a speedo before taking a dip in the camp's freezing cold rock pool. The two British compares(Ant and Dec) suggested he was wearing his wife's bikini bottoms and were shocked at how tiny they were. I personally thought they were quite a conservative cut and the jazzy design in no way enhanced his manhood. Needless to say his "tiny" speedos were the subject of much discussion in the country's media. Mike still has a physique to be proud of, and it's quite common for rugby players to wear speedos under their shorts when they're playing because there is less chance of them being pulled down when being tackled by an opponent. I'm sure he'll laugh it off when he eventually leaves the camp, but it shows we still have a long way to go to make speedos etc more acceptable to the masses.

I remember this Mexican movie from the 90s called "El Arrecife de los Alacranes" (Scorpion Reef), one of those whodunnit murder action films that took place in a cruise in Mexico regarding treasure from a sunken Spanish ship.

Many of the male and female actors were in skimpy swimsuits. The men had these bikini swimsuits of the cut that I like. There were a few soft porn scenes where a man and his wife were having relations and they're both in their swimsuits.

Many of the male and female actors were in skimpy swimsuits. The men had these bikini swimsuits of the cut that I like. There were a few soft porn scenes where a man and his wife were having relations and they're both in their swimsuits.

Exactly 30 years since this movie was released. Great to see it wasn't just the women in skimpy swimwear, but if this was to be remade today I suspect all of the women would be in tiny thong bikinis,while most, if not all of the guys would be covered up in dork shorts.

I think this movie came out in 1994 or 1995. It was a bit cheesy, but an easy movie to watch. Yes, I agree about how the remake would have been done today.

I do remember it for the first three minutes of the film where it shows two men being shot from a boat. I think they did something that upset the shooter who shouted "Traidores. ¿Quien les va ayudar?" (Traitors! Who's going to help you now?) before gunning them down.

The two men fell into the water and one of them was wearing a T-shirt and bikinis and the other one a T-shirt and some short shorts. I wish I could get screenshots, but the app from where I can watch the film won't let me get screenshots.

I've just discovered a youtube channel that may well have the best content of actors wearing thongs and bikinis in films and on TV. Most of them appear to be foreign language productions and wrongly label bikinis as thongs, but you will be amazed at how revealing the suits are. DONESTILOVIP is the name of the youtube channel and I'm sure once you've watched it you will be on here raving about it while wishing those days would return. Enjoy!

Interesting that you refer to them as "dork" shorts. In many of those Latin American soap operas, movies, and TV shows from that time, the guys wearing baggy board shorts were portrayed as either prudish, nerdy, too shy, pretty much loosers and the opposite of the male leads who were confident, strong, and always surrounded by beautiful, sexy women.

I distinctly recall Tom Hanks wearing black bikini briefs during an extended sequence in the movie Turner & Hooch

I was flicking through the tv channels last night and I kid you not, Turner & Hooch was on the film channel, and it was that very scene where he wakes up with the dog lying next to him, and while wearing black briefs,proceeds to try dragging it into the bath before finally tethering it in the garden and using a hose on it.
