I purchased my first thong from SomethingWildinCA back when i was a sophomore in high school 04, it was a flat front triangle G with metal ring flanking the triangle. That thong was the best one i had worn up until i found Gregg Homme and their Torrid line.

I'm pretty sure it was the Calvin Klein 2 or 3 back cotton thongs I could find in Dillard's or Macy's 10+ years ago. I don't think they make that specific one anymore, but some online look similar. It did the job, but it's been a long journey of finding the right brand, material, fit for my needs!

Also, first time posting. Feels nice to find a forum amongst others that share the same passion!

Cheers!

welcome to the forum Tim. You’ll find lots of support in this group. My second thong was Calvin Klein back in 2000, the 100% cotton one. My choice of fabric has definitely changed over the years.

One black and one red jockey microfiber thong in college around 2000. So stretchy and comfy.

I started with thongs and g-strings about a year ago. I really wanted to start a long time ago and couldn't get past the "I'm weird" part. Finally I decided the heck with it and got some no-name thongs and g-strings online.

Wow, I should've done it years ago. Now I wear g-strings (mostly) and thongs every day.
Welcome! You will find us a diverse group of guys who share your love of microwear. Tell us why you felt that you WERE (as you put it) "weird!" I said WERE because that feeling should be receding quickly in the rearview mirror! :D. YOU are the one enjoying the comfort, support AND downright sexiness of your microwear, while the "Band of Bored-Short Brothers" wet their pants in fear and complain about being too  hot!

Well, I only saw mens thongs at Frederick's of Hollywood. Endless rows of boxers and TWs at the box stores and my wife had Victoria's Secret. I just assumed regular guys don't *really* wear them, but I wanted to.

Boy, wish I had known better (slaps forehead)...all those years I could've been happily wearing g-strings ...... And yeah, it's totally "receding quickly in the rearview mirror" :D

My first thong experience is when I was 11 years old living in Japan. I attended school for the summer and they had a swim class. I didn't have a suit so they had suits in a box I could use. I noticed that a few boys were putting on a fundoshi. Fundoshi is their traditional underwear/swimwear similar to Sumo who wear a Mewashi. For centuries only men wore a fundoshi. Of course the modern thong made it more mainstream to women.

I liked how they looked and opted for the fundoshi. I had to get help tying it, but once it was on it looked like a thong. First time wearing one and swimming the pool it was liberating. The girls giggled but it didn't bother me, they liked that a foreigner would try their old fashion traditions.

Since then I been hooked.

As long as I can remember, I always loved small swim suits. Every new suit was a little smaller then the older ones. Before I ordered my first thong, I used to wear Brazilian bikini suits with narrow sides. My first thong was a thong ordered from Dore (beachndance). It was a 'moderate cut', lined, 1/2" sides, thong in navy blue. My nickname is navythong because of that first thong. Later on I ordered one or two of her thongs (without lining) every year from Dore. The fit of her thongs was very good. I've worn her thongs with great pleasure! At first I only wore my thongs in the backyard. Later on I also wore them to the beach, but didn't have the guts to lay out on my stomach...Every year I got a bit more confident and now I wear them to the beach all the time. I lay out sunbathing on both back and stomach and even do long beach walks in a thong.
After Dore passed away I started buying form Skinzwear and Muscleskins. Have had about 8 poser thongs (1/2" and 3/8" sides, narrow front). The posers were a bit smaller then Dore's moderate cut. The last 4 years iSwim is my favourite supplier. They have even smaller thongs then posers.
