I don't think I look good in thongs, so I stop wearing thong swimwear, but I have worn them in public.

I would have to say the best place to visit is Miami. I go there every year for vacation and find that the sea water, beaches, beach facilities, and overall vibes are the best in the US. South Beach is particularly liberal—you can wear a thong as a man without any issue. Sheer suits are generally fine as long as no one complains; if there is a complaint, you'll simply be asked to change. Maybe it is because the culture there is heavily south American. Although I haven't personally worn a thong on South Beach, I have seen other men in thongs there.

Haulover Beach in North Miami is clothing optional, and I've comfortably worn a thong there without any problem. It's actually the place where I've seen a wide variety of swimsuits on men, some of which I didn't even know how to describe! While it's a clothing optional beach, many people seem to enjoy expressing themselves in creative and unique ways.

So the wife and I went on a quick overnight trip. It was last minute so we packed in a hurry. The wife forgot her swimsuit but I remembered to bring mine. She said we could go down to the hot tub and she would just put her feet in. It was about 10:00 and the pool was empty but there were windows right into the lobby and also cameras. I was a little hesitant but I’ve always wanted to wear a thong in public so I went for it and dropped my shorts to reveal my skinzwear semi sheer blue thong. I think my wife was quite surprised. I sat in the hot tub for a while and decided to swim a little in the pool. The wife warned me that there were people checking in so I slipped my shorts on, and sure enough the people walked right by and stopped to look in the window. Maybe next time I’ll have the courage to leave the shorts off. It was a great experience nonetheless

Nice! If she was surprised, what’s the wife’s stance on your underwear/swimwear preferences? And what are your go to swimsuits?

She isn’t against me wearing them but I don’t think she would ever buy me a thong or encourage me to wear one. Shes a good sport and goes along with it when I do wear them. I only have a couple specific swim thongs. That skinzwear m67 is probably my favorite. I have a couple hunk hybrid thongs but they aren’t as fitted. Any recommendations?

My wife and I took our first trip to Cancun last week and we stayed on the northern end of Cancun. Not a lot of people on the beach probably because of all the sea grass and everyone was preferring to hang out in the pool. I decided to go for it and lay out in the sun wearing my DA thong. This was my first time in public. The couple of people that were on the beach could care less as they were all females that were wearing thongs. I always wear a thong in my pool and when I’m working in my garden but no one can see me at my house. This was the best feeling be able to swim and hang out on the beach wearing only a thong in public.

Great that you were able to muster up the courage and wear a swim thong in public. Did your wife wear a thong as well? Did she give you any moral support?

Since summer weather finally took hold in my corner of the world I’ve been out at the beach a few days, sunning my buns. I already have a good thing tan line developing. One day there was almost exclusively thong swimwear being worn on the beach. It was quite remarkable. Of the 40 plus people out only 5 were not wearing thongs. That was a great day. Since then the thong count has gone down but not out. So, I wear my thong comfortably at the beach each time I go. I’m the only male wearing a thong and I do get some looks from a few of the other non thong wearing people. Mostly, everyone does their own thing. Be confident, be comfortable, be friendly and act like you belong and all will be fine.

I wear these or similar at my local pool, and nobody seems to bat an eyelid. If anyone asked me, I'd say i wear them because they are so comfortable, and much better than swimming with a gallon of water inside a pair of boardies! The fact that I have a nice peachy bubble bottom is another reason!
