It is a shame this happened to you. Talk about double standards. If women can show off their cheeks in public, so can guys. To tell you the truth, I try to set up next to a thong girl when I am on the beach. If someone has a problem with my thong wearing, I can just point the finger at the thong girl next to me. It is a petty move, but it's my way of defending myself.

"calling the police"! How pathetic. I've long felt that the police are grossly overmanned, if they are going to get involved in such petty matters.

I am coming up on another hotel stay in California. I’ve been to this particular hotel in the past, although a few years ago. This next trip is for a professional event. As a result here will be many people there for the week. My plan is to arrive and immediately get out to the pool for the day in one of my thong swimsuits. I'm pretty sure I’ll be the only man wearing a thong at the pool. Last time I was there I wore a thong at the pool with no issue. I know there will be several other people in my profession that will see me as well as a few friends and acquaintances. For them it will be the first time they have seen me wearing a thong. I’m am not concerned about it one bit. My friends and acquaintances already know I push the limits with my style so seeing me wearing a thong will be no big deal. They may roll their eyes and make a joke but that is nothing of concern. Over the course of the week I’ll have a couple of afternoons to be pool side for a few hours. I plan on making the most of it and return home with my tan line redefined.

So here I am in Southern California a professional meeting with 2000 other attendees from around the nation and world. I haven’t had much time to get to the pool or hot tub but did manger some hot tub time last night and some pool time today. Last night I got into the hot tub. There was a group of women already there. So I slipped out of my lounge pants and shirt down to my bright blue thong and got in the water. I ended up having a very pleasant conversation with the group until the hotel security told us we had to depart as they were closing the pool. The women got out first and I noted one of the women was wearing a thong. I followed and grabbed my clothes and walked to an area that was dry to dress. I had to pass the group of women. As I was walking by one of the group said she was hoping I would walk over so she could get a look. She smiled and told me she liked my thong.
Then today I took the afternoon off the have a pool break before the evening events. I found a place in the sun near a woman wearing a bikini. I stripped down to my right neon yellow thong and she struck up a conversation with me. She told me she liked my confidence, positive energy and openness.

Love hearing positive experiences like that! Those women understand the courage and confidence needed to wear those types of cuts in public. I’m sure that’s why they related to you so much.

Had my first public thong experience a couple weeks ago. I was in Vegas for a work conference and stayed at MGM Grand. When I got a break I checked out the pool and I thought people were nuts because it was 45-55 degrees out. I then noticed steam coming out of the pool. I asked the life guard what was the temp and she said 102 for the pool and jacuzzi. There maybe 8 people at the pool and I noticed a white/black thong bikini on one lady. I stripped to my undies (Of course a thong) and laid out. The next 2 days I wore my swim thong and did laps. The pool felt great but getting out sucked. Kept up with my tan too since Vegas is sunny even in the winter. They had 2 life guards and switched stations every 30 minutes. Neither said nothing about my thong and were on their phones. I met a lady from Portland and talked to her, again she said nothing an about my thong. She saw me in the pool and get out a few times to take some pictures. My lady joined me a couple days and we both wore our thongs by and in the pool. I'm getting more comfortable in public settings but still get anxious. My GF has been doing this for years so she teases me and tells me it's no big deal when I get anxious and she's right. Luckily she met me when I was already thonging at the beach and was breaking barriers.

Thank you both for the wonderful stories.

Are there any recommended "thong friendly" resorts in California / Nevada or even Texas? I guess, we could just make any place thong friendly. We are not into pure naturist resorts as we prefer thongs and micro thongs.

My wife and I want to head south sometime in the next year. I'm not a big city person and would prefer to avoid the hustle and bustle; though, we would like to head south for sunnier climates when the weather is bad in the PNW.

Does anyone have any resort recommendations in Nevada / California / Texas? Hoping to avoid big city hustle and bustle...

We are also looking into some clothing optional resorts in Texas that seem to be a bit more away from the big city business and traffic.

My partner and I are going to thong at Hotel Nikko in San Francisco in a few days. I'll let you all know how it goes. I expect all should be fine, but I've read some reviews about their service not being the best. It's SF, though, they should expect all manner of crazy, things, no?!

Once a year we go to bare fun in the sun resort in Bacliff Texas. It’s incredible.
