Thank you, ioanniskef, for a peek into your culture. Who knows, Beatrice and her husband may still be trying to persuade more men and women to try thongs. And since we don't see other people's undergarments while out in public in our everyday activities, who knows, there may be more people wearing them than we may think! (Their little hidden secret!

Yes, I'm impressed with Beatrice as well!
My first thongs were either the Joe Boxers or Jake Taylors from Target...a purchase by mistake as I thought I just had two packs of the string bikinis. One was thongs, misplaced on the same display hook and I grabbed them without looking carefully (just at the size!) Boy was I surprised when I got home. So I tried 'em and decided they work just fine too!

Thank you mikrobikiniman and pennbikini.she was a beautifull woman and a nice personality.
Well i dont know if they continue to encourage people to try thongs.
The social conditions have been change in greece, like the other world i guess..
The social reality has been change to worst.
I can speak for my country.until 2010 , the society , in general, all wanted was to have fun.like having crazy experiences at the greek islands, enjoy the naximum the world known " greek summer".
Was a society who could accept and make fun of everything.are you wearing man thong ? Its ok bro !!! Are you gay, bi, pansexual? Bravo, enjoy sex!!, are you without a job ? No problem.. spend your summer time at a camping, and when september comes you will see what are you going to do.
In another words the life moto was : dont worry, be happy.
But after 2010 everything collapsed.the economic crisis, destroyed everything.until 2019 people were struggled to overcome the financial difficulties.more than 500k young people between 25- 40 years old, abandom the country for other european countries.( huge percentage if you consider the total number of population ).
So the social changed.became extremely ungry and consernative.in all options.
If , in 2005, someone would have said to me, that in 2023 the consernative party will be goverment, i would have said to him that he is crazy.
So...thongs are an option still.yes.but their popularity the last 2 years is growing again. We have a long distance yet to be done, in order to reach the level of the years before 2010.
But... today....if you ask in a underwear store the most appropriate underwear for the hot days, the thong will be one option. And if you ask, what underwear must you wear under white or skin color linen pants ( extremely popular among men in the summer ) , a nude color thong will be the most often and strongest proposal.
About this i have a story to tell..i am a teacher at a secondary school.so ..the previous june, last days of the month, a lot of heat, school is about to close for the rest of the summer and all the teachers we are in our big office, drinking coffe, trying to have a good time, doing nothing, talking about everything.
Next to me is the teacher of ecomomics, nice guy, a little chubby, but really good looking, about 32- 34..
One woman talks about another male teacher in another school, who under his linen pants wore black briefs...
Everyone laughed at him.
The teacher of economics said to the colleques who were tight next to him.. " the choice under white linen pants must be always a nude color thong.... at least this is my choice."..and we all agree and node our heads...
Nothing more was said and we continued to othet subjects...

I remember the Joe Boxer thongs from K-Mart. They were great! Super comfy. Wish I had kept some of them.Straw-Strings wrote: Mon Jul 10, 2023 11:15 am Ohhh that's a throwback... not only my first one but my first 8 also came from Joe Boxer 4-packs at K-Mart cause that was the only place I could find men's thongs in-person at a store. I got one in high school late 2000s and another in college in the early 2010s since I didn't really have the means to shop online yet. They aren't especially sexy or comfortable but I still have 4 of the 8, in large part for the nostalgia

I got my first thong when I was about 14 years old and it was a white Joe Snyder Rio thong that I found on a supermarket whilst shopping for supplies ahead of the new school year - I just threw it in the shopping cart along with other underwear and my parents either didn’t notice or didn’t care! Back then the packaging was a transparent plastic jar with a white lid rather than the small plastic bags they use currently.

Welcome to the forum. I didn't know that the brand Joe Snyder was available at supermarkets. How many years ago was that?mochathong wrote: Sat Nov 25, 2023 12:30 am I got my first thong when I was about 14 years old and it was a white Joe Snyder Rio thong that I found on a supermarket whilst shopping for supplies ahead of the new school year - I just threw it in the shopping cart along with other underwear and my parents either didn’t notice or didn’t care! It’s a shame that even though Joe boxer came back they don’t offer their thongs anymore. It’s how I originally got into thongs. I just see a bunch of boxers, boxer briefs and ONE multipack of briefs. Just sad.flbeachnative1976 wrote: Sun Jul 30, 2023 7:30 pmI remember the Joe Boxer thongs from K-Mart. They were great! Super comfy. Re: Your First Thong: When? What? Where?
For me it was definitely a very vivid memory.
In Canada we have these chain of overstock/closeout stores called Winners. Similar to TJ max in the US. Anyways, used to always go shopping there with my mom when it was back to school time. And i was always drawn to the underwear department to see what was new or what wild stuff they had. I remember they always had interesting stuff, especially in the late 90's early 2000's. Anyways one week we went, and i remember finding these LUK branded thongs (Luk la roche) in boxes. They are nearly identical style to the common JM skinz line found today, and i suspect they might of been a parent company of JM decades ago. Anyways, they had a few shelves full of them, but no way was i going to buy one while shopping with my mom lol. So i had to concoct a plan. Fast fwd a few weeks later, and i was with a friend and his mom going into town to the mall. And we were driving by the store. I suggested if we can go in as i needed to get a few things. She obliged and into the store i go. My buddy was following me, but i dont think he noticed a thing. Right to the shelf i go, and low and behold its nearly empty, my heart sank. A quick rummage, and low and behold found the last in the size i needed. Score!. To not draw too much attention, i also got a few other things like socks and a belt, and to the cash i go. The last but biggest hurdle; going thru the cash. I begin to checkout, placing the box face down, as they had some model on the front showing it all, clearly indicating the type of/lack of underwear it was. Hoping she would just scan the barcode and bag it. Nope not that easy. It had one of those theft tags on it, and she was going to have to remove it. She pops open the box, and i was ready to be embarrassed to no end, as my buddy notices what i had bought. Thankfully the tag was thru the top of the waist band, and onto one of the flaps of the box. The cashier was quick and didn't pull enough out of the box to identify, or so i hoped. I quickly paid and got out of there asap. I then had to endure the rest of the day, itching to get back home and finally try it on. Eventually i did, and it was definitely unlike anything i had worn before. I was definitely too afraid to wear it to high school, but got the odd opportunity to enjoy the freedom on weekends lol.
There were other times too that Winners had some other interesting stuff. I remember coming across some really neat DIM and Sloggi mens thongs on the racks, but never really getting the opportunity to buy them. Either wrong place/wrong time, and they were always gone by the time i could come back by myself. Fast fwd into adult life with a car and mobility....Recently 5+ years ago, i remember one of the stores had a few pairs of PetitQ stuff on the racks, unfortunately not in my size, i would of bought them up. And again nearly a 8ft rack of just 2eros swimwear for under 10$ a pair. Unfortunately again, all small sizes. I have no ideal where they came from because barely anyone sells those brands in Canada.
Nowadays, its a wasteland at these types of stores. I dont even believe they sell "overstock" anymore, its just the same product at all locations.

Re: Your First Thong: When? What? Where?
I was around 20 at the time, It was kinda disappointing, but still worth to mention.
After wearing boxers at a young age, I could say that I hated them with all my guts, all of that unnecessary extra cloth sticking to my thighs, it was awful. Because of that, I was always leaning towards skimpier styles.
Then I got to the point where briefs were also boring and way too much for my taste, there's when I decided to explore shops around the town, because I didn't want any package to reach the wrong person at home.
The problem is, where I live is quite conservative about underwear styles, and anything else other than boxers was frowned upon and seen as not masculine, for that reason other styles weren't that common because they don't sell well, people would rather buy the chinese garbage quality boxers sold on the streets or discount stores.
After exploring and exploring, I couldn't find anything, at that point I decided to go to a sex shop, so I could at least find something interesting there, there's where I bought my first thong.
It was cheap, low quality nylon, the biggest mistake I made was choosing one size up because they didn't have for mine, it was a thrilling experience regardless, just not as enjoyable as I wanted to because of that one flaw.
On my second attempt, I bought a thong from another small store I found, and once again, I thought it wasn't a bad idea to choose one size up because there wasn't a pair for my own size. That one experience was also disappointing as well.
But for some reason, I still wanted to try one that fits me well, so I finally decided to buy a pair online from a decent store that was also from here, I had to be very careful about that package not being found.
It was a black cotton thong, when I first wore it, I was hooked, the snug and supportive feeling around my body mixed with something as minimal and lightweight, the daring and sexy feeling, after waiting for so many years, I loved everything about it. So my third attempt was the one I will never forget.
After that moment, my collection started to grow, and now I own many pairs, however I don't wear them regularly because of health reasons, some day I will.
