For me it’s pure nostalgia and remembering the first time I saw a fraternity brother wearing them….to me they are so comfortable….not made as well anymore but still good. I feel the younger generation should be introduced to them….seems like guys only over 45 wear them now!

My favorite thing about the elance was the accessibility. It’s the type of “Everyman” bikini that many men probably tried over the years that were otherwise devoted to briefs or boxers. They were available everywhere. And you know a lot of guys tried them.

I was on the high school golf team in the mid to late nineties and half of our team wore Jockey Elance Bikinis….many wore the colored ones…

I tried the Elance string bikinis they were great but I found the seamfree bikinis and chill bikinis much more comfortable and also have a lower rise waist which I prefer. The seamfree still have room up front and hold my goods a little firmer in place than the Elance did.

They have definitely changed in both sizing and styling. Elance bikinis, used to be bikinis in the classic 1-inch side cut, now they look more like hip briefs with a 3-inch side cut. I can't wear them anymore because Jockey eliminated the 2X size for this particular brief (I can't honestly call them bikinis anymore), so they are now too small!

I miss seeing them in stores. I remember being maybe around 9-10 years old and seeing them for the first time at stores like Macy's and being fascinated by them. At that age I really wanted them but would have been mortified by the idea of asking for my parents to buy them for me
