It was a Jockey Outlet store. Nevertheless, I was very surprised to see thongs front and center in a retail shop.

Agreed - that’s great they had thongs.
In the past I went to a store near the beach and they had their old microfiber string bikinis and I was happy at that!

Here's my
Review
Size Small
Color Black
Pros: Single-line pouch. 100% Cotton. Very low rise after several washings. Cotton softens up after a few washings. The front has enough space and fits comfortably snug but not to tight. There is enough stretch to accomodate expansion if pointing down but if pointing up it will come out above the waistband.
. I wore them for all different types of activities. Sitting at work, yoga class, gym workout and they were comfortable in all different types of movement.
I normally do not sleep in underwear but I did sleep in these a few nights very comfortable as they are cotton and low rise.
Potential Con: They shrink, so only wash in cold water hang dry. Unless you want a very low rise bikini.
Overall very happy with these basic black bikinis. Not the most exotic underwear but suits me just fine!

Any idea why there are so few Jockey brief options that are not microfiber? Not much of a selection if you’re looking for cotton
