The more I think about it, if it's OK for ladies to show off their backside, shy isn't it more acceptable for guys.

That's awesome! I'm proud of the progress you've made in being comfortable in public and outside in a thong! You are right when you say that nothing feels as good as good as being in a thong or nude outside!

I don't have a fence around my yard but I do drape sheets over all the rails on my deck so that I can lay out nude or in a thong...it's great! I've also been able to lay out nude or thonged at a lake near my house at a spot where folks don't really care one way or the other. Ive been laying out out there for the past 15 years.

And I agree with you 100% that if it's OK for ladies to show off their backside, turn we guys should be able to as well! I'm 66 and I think I'm in pretty good shape for my age, too!
