My friends and family don't know what I wear as underwear. It is kinda weird to talk about underwear with friends, and there is no reason for me to tell them about my underwear preference.

That being said, I have no reason to hide, and all my friends know that I like to tan on the beach. One time, I got bored, so I decided to post an Instagram Story of me on the beach. I posted a photo of me tanning in a thong, but I slightly covered my butt with the location tag. I allowed only my close friends to see the story. 22 friends got to see the story, and two of them actually sent me positive emojis.

I am 33 years old, and I am at a point in life where I just don't care what my friends think of me. I don't have to impress them anymore, and I don't care if I don't get to see them. What matters is my personal well-being.

My current partner also knows. As for my friends, I don't think they know... I don't see why I should say. Afterwards, if they've seen it, they haven't said anything to me.

This has been an evolution over many years for me.

I got my first thong at 17 years old. Up until then, I loved being in the smallest swim briefs I could get, remembering my mother bought all my clothes for me up until I was 15 and earning my own money. She was accommodating to what I wanted, but I was of an age that trends and societal expectations influenced my choices. I wore my briefs whenever I could away from most family and friends.
In Australia we can legally drive after 17 years old, which opens up so many freedoms to us, including doing your own shopping. Alone.

I purchased my first two thongs from a local bodybuilding gym who had posing suits in their front window. My collection continues to evolve.

Growing up as a surfer, briefs were never accepted. Boardshorts were the minimal accepted beachwear for males. At the time there was a thong trend for females here, and males from certain genres, mainly the gay scene (it was not cool to be gay in Australia back then). I always felt I had to hide my preferences. And I did. I indulged in my brief and thong wearing on isolated beaches.

I met my now wife at 18. Her dad wore Speedos whenever he was near water. He frequented our local nude beach since he was a young man, and took his family there as they grew up. I joined him at the nude beach, and was inspired to wear my briefs whenever swimwear was appropriate. I was no longer associating with my childhood peer group, and the people around me saw it as a non-event. I was very happy and began to wear very small briefs in front of anyone because I knew it wasn't an issue with my in-law family.

I began to appear in front of them in my thongs. My wife knew I loved them. They were taken aback at first, but accepted that it was what I liked. No problem from then on.
So my entire wife's family have known for years that I wear thongs full time. There's been a few discussions, and it still comes up as part of other conversations, but I love the acceptance.

My own family are different. Can't complain about my mother's acceptance. As I said earlier, she knew I loved wearing small briefs, so the thongs in the wash weren't a huge revelation for her. She asked me if they were my wife's (then girlfriend) but I said "no, they're mine, and they a very comfortable". I actually put one on and showed here. She said "Oh well, you've got the arse for it" so it was never an issue from then on. I used to walk around the house in my underwear anyway, so I did it in thongs after that.
My father didn't like the briefs, so never seen my thongs.

These days, through various scenarios, almost all of my family, friends, nieghbours etc know I wear thongs as underwear and/or swimwear. It happens. I don't start the conversation. They will find out if they come to my house and we go in our pool.

So since then, it's been an evolution of me being more confident, and choosing to do what makes me happy, and finding that friends accept your choices if they are good friends. I'm sure the older members here will understand. I have grown to the point where I know what I do does not adversely affect anyone else. Their opinions and thoughts are just that. I may be doing something they don't agree with, but it only affects their life if they choose to let it to.

So yes, lots of people I know, know.

Well some of it was probably that i was wearing nothing else, but his comment was primarily the Thong. I love it I've always been the one that my family says travels to the beat of a different drum.

I’d feel uncomfortable around friends and family wearing g thongs or skimpy stuff . With my current partner I usually wear what she likes to bed which is hipsters u fortunately but I’m shortly moving over to low rise micro briefs and from there maybe the odd tanga thong . I feel much sexier at bed time wearing briefs stuff .

No one knows except my wife and she is cool with it, it turns her on , friends, NO, but walk around in our secure backyard wearing only a thong when taking the dog out, makes me feel totally naked and enjoy it.
