It's always so random and usually rare to hear the mention of bikini underwear(men) in movies or t.v. shows. But as I write this I can remember some more scenes I need to share : )

'Stripes' Movie (1981) Bill Murray mentions 'low rise bikini...' https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gGiMXCA2pEg
Not the best clip btw

Loved his deadpan delivery.I must try this next time I'm in my local department store. I'm sure the sales assistant's face would be a picture!

The T.V. show 'Moonlighting' with Cybill Shepard and Bruce Willis has a funny clip about men's bikini underwear in the pilot for the show. I kind of love/hate this scene....love how he says the words 'the guy wears bikini underwear' (along with his facial expression) (he seems to say it like he would wear them himself or almost complimenting the 'bikini wearer') but it can be taken that he's teasing/making fun of them and guys who wear them. Hard to tell. What do you guys wager?

Just stumbled upon this clip of a guy who is into bodybuilding ...he walks around on the beach and streets in his skimpy posing trunks. This guy is an inspiration although I feel that it also plays into a stereotype....that you must be a bodybuilder to wear a speedo/bikini. His friend in the clip has a really good build also...just leaner and I feel that he should also be able to rock a bikini too! I've always had a interest in bodybuilding actually but I have been turned off by certain aspects of it. I sometimes have wanted to be that 'buff bikini guy' though.....such as this guy in the clip.

I just like this guys' boldness and tenacity...I want to have more of that myself

I wrote that I've been turned off by some things in bodybuilding. It seems like most guys who are into serious bodybuilding hardly ever wear the posing suit/bikini outside of competition. It seems like if you invest that much time and effort into your physicality you would want to actually show it off. Maybe it was more common in the 80s/90s? On that note, why does everyone always have to follow trends? Another thing about bodybuilding is the 'size' thing. A lot of guys in bodybuilding seem to get addicted to getting bigger and bigger and never satisfied. So I think there are dark sides to bodybuilding. Hope I didn't offend anyone on this site that is into bodybuilding. I am personally going for the 'lean look'...I think it's more natural.

Me too, I’m into the lean look. At 5/7 Im not very tall. Wearing a bikini or thong makes my legs look longer and I appear taller. I never weigh more than 150# leaving me looking lean. I like naturally muscular men but the rank and file body builders go too far. A friend’s son is a body builder. He is clearly overbuilt. As said it’s like an addiction, too many hours in the gym. How some bodybuilders get those too dark tans I have no idea.

I would say he was making fun of the guy and the possibility that he might be a bikini wearer!

Your comment about the too dark tans is an interesting one. I think I'm right in saying that the darker tan apparently helps show off the muscular definition better that a whiter skin, which is why you see so many of those guys, prior to a contest, in spray tan booths or having their bodies covered manually by presumably a close friend(lol). But I have also noticed some very negative comments directed to guys who overdo the dark tanning to such an extent that it is deemed to be offensive to the black community.

I think lots of guys would secretly like to have the body and the courage to do something like this. It is obviously just a bit of harmless fun,but the one flaw with this kind of clip is that as soon as the general public see the subject matter is being filmed, their reaction tends to be either exaggerated or somewhat tempered compared to what it would have been if he was on his own.
He is quite canny with his choice of bikini, because even though it is very skimpy in comparison with all the other swimwear on show, the black colour doesn't display his manhood in the way a white, red or light blue would, also, the back doesn't show as much bare butt as other posing suits do. But the most telling accessory which he never removes are the sunglasses. It is amazing how a simple pair of sunglasses can install a modicum of self confidence into the shyest of people, and I think it is quite telling that even a outwardly confident guy like him chose to shield his eyes and thus eliminate the possibility of someone making eye to eye contact with him.
