I'm sure my landlord back in college could have said something, as he would have been making repairs off and on in that place over the 3 years or so we had the place, and my roommate and I both would have had bikini briefs strewn about from time to time...

I have had people note what I was wearing from time to time as well, although I think the opportunities for those do not come nearly as often as they used to.

This isn't an anecdote about men's underwear, but nevertheless, still about underwear since it applies to bras.

Back when I worked as a concierge for a very upscale condo, I had to escort building maintenance into a resident's condo so they could do some work on some vertical blinds. Well, the person that lived there just happened to be a United States Senator (a woman). She was not there at the time, probably in Washington D.C., I suppose. I unlocked the door we all walked in, and this senator had bras laid out all over her condo- on tables, counter tops, laid across the backs of chairs and other furniture and all over her bed. Dozens of lacy, padded, push-up bras mostly in varying shades of pinks and purples. I don't know if she had a lingerie business on the side, and she had been doing inventory of her stock, or these were her personal bras and she just had them laid out everywhere for some particular reason. The maintenance guys finished their work and we left. That was just an interesting true story about underwear that I'll never forget!

Not really an earth-shaking one here, but I was at my doctor's appointment on Friday to have a check-up on my lower back (I've posted elsewhere about my injury)...I think this was the first time that I didn't hear "okay, you can take off your clothes, just leave your boxers on." As they've found out, repeatedly over the years, that I don't wear boxers, the woman said "down to your underwear." Then proceeds 45 minutes of poking, prodding, measurements, etc., so lots of opportunities there. On Friday I was wearing a Kiniki Alex tanga, heather gray. (In previous appointments, I have surprised myself on occasion by wearing a Kelly tanga which is fairly minimal, but I REMEMBERED my appointment so I kind of prepared!)

Have you ever wondered if the nurses ever draw straws among themselves to determine who gets to tend to you, just so they can see your underwear?! I realize that each doctor has their own nursing staff, but still if you are notorious for wearing string bikinis and tangas to your doctor visits, the nursing staff may look forward to your visits!

Haha! I'm really not sure. A lot of the staff have been there for a pretty good bit of time. I'm not sure how they assign or schedule. I didn't have some of the tests done that sometimes I have (nerve conduction) so this seemed to have fewer people involved! I do try to be somewhat aware that I'm going to be disrobing, so I do try to have more coverage (with the default being a string bikini, however, that ain't easy...I usually have on a Kiniki Oxford or Kiniki Alex (like this past time.)) Last fall I had on a royal blue Kelly tanga so the cheeks were pretty prominent. They do observe my gait and measure my hip height, etc., to make sure my pelvis isn't tilting and some other stuff -- felt a BIT more self-conscious wearing the Kelly. But -- it is what it is! I hadn't even realized I was wearing them until I was in the room shucking my jeans...

Back in 2012 when I was hotel Security for the Sheraton Hotel in Fort Worth, TX, I had to respond to a noise complaint in the south tower. I went up to the room and knocked on the door and this beautiful blonde woman came to the door wearing nothing but a short-cut t-shirt and her white cotton bikini panties. I was stunned to silence for a second or two and then very politely asked her to keep the noise down and then I left to return to my duties.

That'd have been a great sight to behold at the door; it does set one's imagination to wondering about the nature of the noise!

I was at a fishing lodge a few years ago and the housekeeper walked in on me in my room while I was bent over my suitcase; I had on a string bikini and T-shirt of some sort. She hustled out instantly after turning BRIGHT red, stammering about making sure to lock the door if I wanted privacy.

So I've been wanting to share this for a while; from out of the college archives so circa 1993 or so. I was at a party at this girl's apartment...I had dated her in high school off and on and we were still in touch. Anyway -- back in those days I partied a LOT and frequently got out of control. As a matter of fact, I don't recall much from the evening itself, as there was both Jaegermeister and some cinammon booze that I can't remember the name of. It was early in the morning (like 2am) and most of the people had left, except for my friend who rented the apartment, her boyfriend, and a couple of other people. The last clear memory I have of the evening was being on all fours, crawling in the living room, with no pants (and this would have been in the fall.) I was wearing these bluish-purple string bikini briefs *I want to say Gitano, but that may not be right) and my sweatshirt. Fast forward a couple of hours later, and I woke up behind the wheel of my car, freezing my ass off, still with no pants. But I had my car keys and my wallet, by some miracle, and then I drove 25 miles back to my own apartment...my jeans were never recovered...lol...I was also VERY careful driving because the last thing I needed was to get pulled over wearing what I was wearing. That would have been instant field sobriety check!
