TANGA TANGA Btw, what's the skimpiest speedo you've seen on a guy in Italy?

Hi SBD. The skimpiest I have seen in Sicily was a thong. It was at an unofficial nudist zone which I have been going to for a number of years. Almost all of the guys end up swimming and sunbathing in the nude,but most of them wear speedos before stripping naked. Have only seen two guys wearing a thong before stripping naked,and I actually became good friends with one of them a couple of years ago, and I got him into g-strings after he saw me wearing one(true story).

Was awesome to see two mates just hanging out in bikinis together. I really wish I had a guy my own age to hang with in bikinis. But it sounds like I may need to go back to Italy! I was in Italy last year actually (went to Naples, Rome, Venice and Milan) but I didn't get much beach time in. Prior to Italy I was in Greece. The Athens Riviera was very cool...saw quite a lot of guys in speedos. I even saw an older guy in a swimthong once. Also I remember seeing a in shape guy with his wife roll up his speedos on the side to make them skimpier. He even did push ups on the beach too. You just don't see that in Canada much haha. I was also on Naxos island which was pretty good for seeing speedos. In the shops there were a lot of retro looking skimpy swimwear postcards (showing guys in skimpy swimwear and topless girls) : ) Some beaches/areas I saw a lot of boardshorts but still I did see quite a few speedo guys. I remember seeing a guy (in his 20s?) with his mom and dad walking through the town in his black bikini speedos! It was very cool. I wanted to talk to him/make friends with him but I didn't know how to approach him : / It was a very euro beach town scene. Europeans are just so much more relaxed about the body. It seems like Italians are even more of a speedo wearing nation compared to Greece though?! The one thing that Greece might have on Italy is the beaches? I mean, Greece has crystal clear beaches and a laid back vibe. Italy felt a lot busier to me but that's ok.....they are two different countries with their own thing going on. I imagine Sicily is a lot more laid back than the rest of Italy though. In general though...Europe=speedo paradise?

It's funny how you mentioning the guy in Greece rolling up his speedos to make them skimpier,reminded me of something similar.
I was staying with friends at a campsite on the southern coast of Sicily,and while they enjoyed the busier atmosphere of the local sandy beach,I preferred to go further afield to a more sheltered rocky area where very few people went and I could sunbathe nude, or in a c-string. On this particular day I was lying on my own enjoying the peace and quiet,when suddenly I heard voices coming down the stairs that led onto the rocky shore. Grabbing my c-string,I covered my privates and looked over to see who was coming. My heart sank a little when I saw 3 burly guys coming in my direction,and I thought I might get some abuse for being almost naked. Couldn't have been more wrong!!! As they walked past,they wished me good day in Italian,and when I replied in their native tongue,they stopped and chatted for a few minutes.It turned out they were construction workers on a building site not far from the sea,and at lunchtime they
would come over for a refreshing dip in the warm sea after labouring in the scorching sun. I watched as they went 10 metres further along,where they stopped and stripped down to their underwear before jumping into the water. The following day the same thing happened,and once again we chatted in Italian before they headed to their regular spot and stripped off. I should mention that one of the guys wore boxer shorts,but the other two wore briefs. On this occasion,I noticed that one of the guys in black briefs was standing with his back to me and began rolling up the sides and the back of his briefs until they almost resembled a thong. Now whether this was because he'd seen how skimpy my c-string was,I don't know,but I'd like to think I was a positive influence.

Hello again SBD. You might like a short 20 minute film called "What can I do with a male nude?" First shown on telly back in the mid 80's,it has a very funny voice over which talks about the difficulties of photographing nude models in the days before the posing pouch,as well as censorship and how the invention of the posing pouch liberated the whole nude scene. The final scene where the model is putting back on his day clothes is a scream!

I have seen that clip before and thought that the older guy who was being interviewed in the office by the reporter, did a great job of promoting the Hom string bikinis he was holding up and dealt in an informative way with the reporter's "don't you think they're too revealing" questions.
I agree with you that I thought the model wore them too low on his hips.Also,the girl standing next to him in a skimpy bikini was a bit of a hypocrite saying it was alright for her to be dressed like that,but not for a man. Glad the clip finished on a positive note with the girl saying she wished more guys would wear string bikinis,while her husband/boyfriend was lying next to her.

TANGA TANGA In my travels in Europe I have been impressed with Italy for the beach scene. I remember seeing a 'cabana boy' on the beach (he was more like a guy in his 30s) wearing bright blue speedos (on the skimpier side too). Maybe I should consider work as a cabana boy : ) Possibly Italy is more of a speedo country than Greece? Any travellers out there correct me if I'm wrong! I have been to the French Riviera or south of France and I was impressed with the beach scene there. Lots of guys in speedos

Funnily enough,the first swim thong I bought was a black Hom,and it was very expensive for the times!

Checked the clip again and I think he does say"I'll STILL wear that bikini underwear you like!" Which is ironic,because most girls publicly will say they hate guys in bikinis,but privately it might be a different matter!
