Hi crossfiThong !! Thank you....well lets lay that what we describe is a tiny disadvantage wearing a thong..but in my opinion wearing boxers or boxers briefs during long road distance will be even worst.
I can remember when , at very young age, i was into boxer briefs..the situation was this: after 1 driving or seating in the bus, i could feel the boxer squeezing my penis and balls to death...and i was trying to pull down the llboxer legs a little down to give some space...and after a while the same...
It was awfull...

I recently did a 5 hour road trip with friends. I was in the passenger seat, and I was wearing a pair of joggers and a t-shirt. The whole trip was fine. I had no issues with my thong. But, as I was getting out of the car, the joggers slipped down a bit and my thong was exposed. Fortunately, no one got out of the car from my side, so I was able to quickly pull up my joggers.

I only wear thongs during road trips as they are the most comfortable to me. Usually a good fitting and light thong with loose shorts or sweats, nothing too restrictive. My seats are heated and cooled so that helps too.

I wear thongs almost exclusively ( except for work I'm going to be in the field for ((uniformed)) or BJJ class) the only time they become a problem in road trips are if you have to poop and you still have hair back there and no wet wipes. Which prompted me to get laser hair removal around my thong and bikini lines I'm 3 sessions in and very happy with the results as shaving caused irritation.

Interesting comments, I wear thongs/g-strings 100% of the time and never have any problems on a trip however long .

Loving it the UK there really aren't mega long road trips but never felt any downsides from just choosing my regular thongs. Probably spend longer sat at my desk than I ever do driving and that doesn't cause any discomfort. For me it's just the normality of comfortable, well fitting underwear

I started wearing thongs while driving long distances for comfort reasons.
Briefs were a problem because you sit on the seam, and it can interfere with your sciatic nerve (it was for me). Ask a bike rider about that.
Trunk style solves this, however I found they bunched up excessively between your legs after sitting for some time, and were too hot.
Thongs are the perfect solution for me.
