The life of my underwear end when they are stretched out.i cant stand a loose waistband.even a little is enough to go into the bin.especially for the thongs.i want the backstrap to be tight in order to find its position and stay there.if it starts to creep up the top of my cheeks, i say goodbye. It isnt easy emotionally for me to throw away clothes, but i do it thinking that is time to buy and wear something new, is time to have a new experience.
As for the question of david nc...yes if you think about it it seems strange.but i think the answer is that you may not feeling the strap, but you know its there.you are accustomized to have / know you have something between your cheeks.so when its not there, you know it.and since the backstrap gives you mental pleasure because of its presence, when its not in your ass you are missing first if all this mental satisfaction and secondly the backstrap itself.
I think that swimmer78 can answer this question in a much better way than me....

I always tug the strap to pull it all the way into my crack. I grab the waist band simultaneously in the front and back with both hands and pull straight upwards. This always brings it home. I have some thong swimsuits with wider straps and I have to tug rather hard to get them settled in. I think it looks odd when you don't adjust this way because the back triangle can sit down too low on your butt. It looks better above the top of your crack.

I say tight enough to feel the string between my cheeks. I wear gstrings mostly and I feel it more when I'm thonging it. I wear a lot of mens stuff, but some of my skimpier womens gstrings need to be tighter in the cheeks to hold everything up front in place.

I go back and forth about dipping my toe into women’s lines. Which of your women’s strings do you not recommend?

If you choose the right size and fabric, a thong can be one of the most comfortable undergarments you can wear!

I agree. And there does not need to be a "dig" by the thong strap.

I like the thong-strap deep between the cheeks. The first few times wearing a thong, it feels a bit ‘weird’ or maybe funny. But now I don’t even feel I’m wearing a thong. I’m totally used to thongs. I like thongs with narrow center straps. They do not tend to ‘fold’ as wider straps do. When wearing a thong with wider straps I feel the centerstrap more then when wearing a thong with narrow straps (8mm). Important is the length of the center strap. If it’s too long or too short, the fit of the thong will be bad.

I prefer for them to fit snuggly in there, but neither tight not loose. If it's one of those, then it would just mean the size is wrong. Too tight in the back, I might feel the pouch squeeze my anatomy in the front too much. Too loose and I'd feel like it was coming off or not supportive at all

I definitely prefer to have the back strap fitting snugly. My routine when putting on my thongs is to pull up on the back strap while simultaneously pulling down a little bit in the front. I like the front pouch to fit kind of low and the thong back resting perfectly at the top of my crack. A snug fit in the back is key to getting the front pouch to hold me just right. As others have noted, the thong back strap needs to be the right length or things just don’t feel comfortable. I’ve gotten rid of several thongs that rode too short in the back no matter how snug I pulled them.
