Just watched Will Ferrell wearing a thong on a SNL sketch compilation. Not only does he turn around and bend over revealing his thonged butt(I'm surprised it wasn't pixelated), but he then sits on a chair with his legs wide open and his feet up on a table. The other cast members were trying desperately not to laugh,but you can see them giggling as they turn away from the camera.

Thanks for posting a link to this. The clip I saw was much shorter(no pun intended), but reading the comments posted on youtube helped explain why one character kept referring to his thong as shorts. Apparently the original script had Will walking in wearing cut off shorts, but he switched them before the take for a back to front bikini which gave the appearance of it being a thong. This obviously came as a complete shock to the other cast members who could barely contain their laughter.

I actually think everyone should wear them

I was watching Crazy Rich Asians on Hulu tonight, and right after Rachel is embarrassed by Eleanor and Nick's grandma - she is running through the wedding reception. If you blink you will miss the scene, but at scene 1:33:57, Bernard (played by Jimmy O. Yang), is pushed back in front of the audience with a slutty girl - he is wearing a gold thong. The scene last less than 10 seconds, so you have to be quick with the pause to see it.

In the Hercule Poirot movie Evil Under The Sun(1982), the actor Nicholas Clay is seen in several scenes wearing a black speedo. I won't spoil the plot by revealing the identity of the murderer.

There was a TV series that aired in the 80s, Dallas. Rich family in Texas owned an oil company - good series. They also own a pool, there are a few scenes when Bobby Ewing (Patrick Duffy) is seen in a black speedo - he was the playboy of the family. You can google search Bobby Ewing in speedo and you can see the pictures. Season 2-14 are on Amazon prime

Dak Rambo and Christopher Atkins also appear in speedos near that same pool in the series.

Saw a clip on youtube from a film called Model Lust which according to the reviews is an absolute stinker. In the clip I saw, an actor walks into a kitchen wearing what appears to be a skimpy, black bikini, but when he turns around it's actually a thong. Seems totally comfortable wearing it and none of the females in the scene blink an eye or pass comment.
