Swim brief sighting

I wear a Speedo Solar in the gym hot tub and sauna all the time, but I've only seen two other guys in swim briefs. I've gotten braver and have worn my pink Solar recently too. Very exciting.

I've recently gotten to the point where I'm comfortable wearing a black Speedo irrespective of who's around - the pink was a big step, but, so far, things have gone well. No ugly comments, a couple of side glances, and one guy hitting on me! I plan to wear it more often!

This reminds me of something that happened to me.

Last August I went to a hobby convention and stayed in a hotel room with three other friends. I decided that I wanted to try out my swim bikinis that I had bought, but I wanted to try them on as soon as the pool was open.

One morning I went to the pool early in the morning. There was no one else but me. As soon as I was in the pool I took off my shorts and went into the pool in my swim briefs. About 40 minutes later, two of my roommates showed up wearing shorts.

I was a bit afraid they would see me as I was so I put my shorts back on before they noticed. To my surprise one of them pulled down his shorts and was wearing a pair of Desmiit brand swim bikinis with 1" sides. It was then that I decided to take off my shorts too.

About a week later I was chatting with that friend to catch up on things. I briefly mentioned that I applauded him for wearing that kind of suit at the pool that day. I bought me a similar pair of bikini suit, but in a different color.

I've worn that suit (secretly) a few times since at pools. I will wear them more publicly at beaches this year.

No, and I really don't care. I was just glad that I someone that I knew likes to wear them too and didn't feel like I was the only one who did so that if we end up going to a pool party or similar event at the same time in the future, I would feel more confident and wearing mine as well.

This past weekend myself and my youngest daughter family went camping at state park called Waterloo rec area sugarloaf campground. The park had a small beach and swim area. I always wear a brief around my family and grandkids. But Friday I wore short leg swim trunks.
Saturday it happened my son in law and I were standing by the fire pit and a guy walks past wearing a brief swimsuit no cover up. After a while we all decided to head to the beach so I put on my brief suit, as walked towards the beach we met the guy as he was leaving the beach. He said hey speedo guy and we pumped as we passed.
When I got to the beach I can only imagine what all the dork short guys thought. (OMG there is two of them wearing that stuff) No my son in law doesn't wear briefs.

I've had some notable swim brief/bikini sightings at my ymca pool lately. Last Friday afternoon while swimming there was a fit young man wearing a brief a couple lanes over from me. I couldn't tell what brand it was but it did have very skimpy sides and looked very nice on him. He was a fast swimmer and I think he was probably an age group swimmer. Then this morning, including myself, there were 3 swim briefs and 1 square cut in the pool at the same time. Two younger guys were wearing the briefs and swim team caps. They were no doubt competitive swimmers. An older gentleman was wearing his square cut and I have seen him before. He is very nice and recently complimented my swimming ability. I think this was a coincidence and not really a trend but it was refreshing to see!

I've been doing quite a lot of sea swimming and fresh water swimming this summer and always worn a speedo style. Recently I've been going to a nature reserve near my home with a friend and have been 'testing the water' - no pun intended- with him as to how brief I can go. Have worn a couple of 2cm wide briefs with no issue. Generally we are lucky in that there is usually no one else there so I feel quite calm, but given the briefs were quite revealing in terms of bulge and my white one, possibly a bit transparent it was no issue.
Now the schools are going back next week, I'll wear a few more brief styles.

It seems like lately, I’ve been seeing more and more guys in swim briefs at the gym. Hopefully that keeps up.
