I've also got maybe 10 other Cocksox bathers, almost all of them swim briefs and 2 with the boy leg cut.
All of them are insanely comfortable, I'm an Aussie, so maybe a little biased, but I'm sure you'll like them if you give them a go.

I guess its a little embarrassing at first, but I'm totally used to it now, especially as I've been wearing much smaller thongs to the beach, even some semi transparent Ice Silk thongs that would normally pass for underwear. No one really cares so long as your not flaunting it and being a dick.

I took my first Cocksox swim thong on a multi day hike and wore it to the beach (very quiet) with my partner, it was a bit of a surprise for her, but she loved it. Took lots of pictures. Since then I’ve worn it to several more inner city beaches, I’ve gotten used to wearing it in more public locations, since my shaky start I’ve worn smaller and smaller thongs / G strings and have even visited fully nude beaches. Wearing Thongs are no longer a problem for me.

You need to wear that suit a bit to sweat in it and swim in it. Wear it for your workouts or whatever... you will get it broken in quickly! After you do that, it will be the most comfortable suit you have and you will love it beyond measure! I'd be happy to come thong with you some time and we can both wear our Cocksox thongs! However, mine is an XL compared to your Small.
