Oh there have been a few which were so long it was ridiculous. I think a sent one back, but the cost of postage wasn't worth the refund amount. After that I've resorted to adjusting my thongs instead, especially ones which are way too long from back to front, and even ones which are even ok. I would pinch the back to how I would want it to fit and then remove, cut that portion off and sew it back together.

I've vastly improved soo many thongs like that which otherwise I would've gotten rid of. They sit and fit much much better now.

Hi, I am new to this forum. First, I just want to say this is an awesome and very well-structured forum with a lot of great information, topics, and discussions. I have been wearing bikinis, string bikinis, thongs, and g-stings since I was in high school………………that was a long time ago. Over the years I have developed some pet peeves when it comes to my underwear. Some of my pet peeves I will live with and others will make me walk away from a purchase. In short:
-Long tags, very annoying but can be cut off.
-Wide waistbands, I can live with a waistband less than ¾ of an inch anything over that, forget it.
-If the underwear is advertised as a bikini then the sides should be no wider than 2 inches, 2 inches might even be pushing it.
-Too much material in the back, baggy butt.
-The standard colors, blue, black, gray, and white.
-Fly’s. Hate them, if the underwear has fun colors and a nice cut back, but has a fly, forget it.
-There is low rise and then there is looow rise. Looow rise to the point where the back does not cover the top of one’s butt crack.

I do have more pet peeve's but do not want to get long-winded. I am just glad that there are more choices in men's skimpy underwear these days than there where a decade ago.

If you want me to advertise your brand I'm the one who needs to be paid, not the other way around. No logos on my package. This literally limits my purchases. For example, and there are many, Daniel Alexander makes some great stuff. But if it has a logo on it, it's off my list. So much of their stuff I can't buy. This applies to the huge waist band branding too. I'm not going to stroke a brands ego.

Second peeve: Non-standard sizing. How hard is it to post a size chart that reflects specific markets? What sense does it make for a M or L guy to buy an XL or XXL? I have to often depend on buyer reviews on Amazon to get the real story, and those are sometimes just shills.

Third peeve: inaccurate, or non-existent fabric description. I just like to know what to expect.

Peeve 4: Get that Gay term and Sissy term out of the product title. Just not helping. People oriented that way know who they are and what they like. I serious doubt they search for products by including those as search terms. Those without that orientation cannot help but be put off by the negative terms. It takes them out of the category, and limits the scope of the product's market reach.

Last peeve: no pictures of the back/rear coverage. Even if it's a thong, there are huge differences around the back. Some have huge wide straps that are just plain uncomfortable. I know they're squeamish about an exposed butt on a website, but hey, it's part of the product description. If I can't see the back of the thing, bikini or thong, I can't buy it.
Right, LOL! I don't think gay men say to themselves, "Today I am going online to shop for sissy, gay penis pouch panties!"

I never understood the whole "Asian sizing" mystery... is one centimeter in China different from one centimeter in the UK, or Germany, or Canada or the USA? Inches can easily be converted and calculated into centimeters for us American consumers. Okay fine, most Asian men can wear clothing sized and fit for children, but a centimeter is still a centimeter, no matter where you are, so why the discrepancies when shopping for underwear on Asian vendor sites? And sorry, but if the underwear/swimwear is advertised as 3, 4 or 5XL and it fits a small and thin man very snug, why is that considered a 5xl? I would hate to see the opposite end of the spectrum, who is the XS made for, a two year-old boy?

Mine are big, wide waistbands on underwear. One issue that I have with boxer briefs is that the hems roll up on my thigh. That is why I'm switching to briefs and bikini briefs.

My only pet peeve when it comes to underwear - string waistbands. I know a lot of people like this, but I have tried several brands with the string type, and they always dig into my skin at the waist. Not a biggie, because there are many brands that have the wider waistband I like. Otherwise, I am one of 'those people that can never have enough underwear, and my drawers show it. Strings, but wider waistbands for me.

Have you ever thought about ordering one size bigger than you normally buy? That might eliminate the discomfort in the string sides feeling like they are cutting into you.

Haven't really thought about a bigger size. The wider waistband in my size suits my needs, and the rest of the foot and support are perfect.

Price has always been a huge factor for me. I cannot justify paying more than $20 for one brief or thong! Sorry, but it's just not worth it. Often enough, I can find something similar for $10 or less that I will be happy with. I don't care about brand names... Calvin Klein, Doreanse, Daniel Alexander, Greg Homme, etc... even Jockey, which I used to wear exclusively... they are so proud of their stuff and charge way too much. I can always find similar styles elsewhere for a fraction of the price!

As for those of you who strictly "Made in the USA" only shoppers, if you can point out American manufacturers that make the styles we like here in this forum, I would be happy to know about them and would seriously consider buying their product, if it's reasonably priced! I know Christian Ocean, the YouTube influencer once commented that he supports American companies, which is great, but some of those "American-made" bikinis and thongs are $80! That's a deal-breaker for me!

Price is less of an issue for me and I do like some “brand names” but my biggest pet peeve is the ridiculous prices some brands charge, I have bought a few briefs from Gregg Homme and I do like them, but a brief might be $50 and then convert that into Aussie $ plus shipping and a brief might be $A120 which is just rediculous.
There are some Aussie brands like Cocksox, but their prices are getting up too.
My go to place is now AliExpress which are ridiculously cheap but you have to wait for them, maybe 6 weeks and the sizing is very hit and miss.
I do love this forum as you all have different views and ideas about what to wear, some of which I’ve never heard of before.
