Re: Locker Room
Even before 2008 when i started wearing thongs exclusively, i used to wear a thong at the gym.it was much more comfortable under gym shorts.
Nowdays i dont have any other choice, even if i wanted to...
Also, in my previous gym, nude wasnt allow in sauna either in hamam, because they were common for both sexes, so i was there in my thong.
Never had a negative comment.
At the locker room, i dont parade around in my thong, and if i feel insecure from the other men around me, i change to a clean pair after shower, but i try to be discreat.
Although i never heard any bad comments.
At the very few times i have seen another thonger, i always have tried to talk to him.sometimes we had a really nice chat.

Nicely explained , yes one should just carry on as normal and mind one’s own basis . It is funny , however that if one is naked in the locker room that feels less challenging than wearing a thong . I suppose it is because it is just not the norm .
Re: Locker Room
I can identify with this, I'm much more comfortable in the nude than when putting on my thong underwear in the locker room. I can be nude in the open showers or changing area and feel fine, but the moment I put on a thong I feel very self conscious and nervous. I don't really have the same issue putting on tangas or bikini briefs. I think the locker room is a tough environment for guys like us on this forum who prefer skimpy underwear, especially in more conservative areas. I usually find a spot to change off in a corner not too conspicuous and change discretely. Never had an issue. Some days I'm more bold and confident than others depending on my mood. I'm slowly working on getting over this hang up.Aberman wrote: Sun Feb 18, 2024 6:03 pm Nicely explained , yes one should just carry on as normal and mind one’s own basis . Thank you swimmer78 for express my feelings exactly.i am not so good in english and i am struggling to express myself.you are not alone. For some reason when i was in Cyrpus, i was feeling more relax and free at the gym. Back in greece, i feel consious and nervous.even though i never never heard any negative comment or see ungry faces. I am trying too to overcome these feelings.
Re: Locker Room
Yes it’s interesting how we feel in different environments . I don’t know about the differences in attitudes between Cyprus and Greece . Perhaps Greece is more conservative , which may make you feel more anxious . Or maybe it is closer to home and more people you know where you may feel less comfortable …. I think underwear choice is much less likely to remarked upon in the locker room than swimwear . After all it is private choice and covered up fairly quickly . Swimwear is a bit different because you are on public display . Either way , for me , it is nice to feel that slight frisson of wearing something just a little different .ioanniskef wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 6:07 pm Thank you swimmer78 for express my feelings exactly.i am not so good in english and i am struggling to express myself.you are not alone. Re: Locker Room
That makes sense - I don’t broadcast my thong but I just don’t hide it in a way that I’m embarrassed about it.
Re: Locker Room
I understand you 100% ioanniskef! It's interesting how the environment can make us more or less confident wearing thongs. Thongwearer has the right idea about showing off to much, but don't hide the thong either. I tend to nervously rush in covering up my underwear once I get it on in the locker room. I'm working on slowing this down.ioanniskef wrote: Tue Feb 20, 2024 6:07 pm Thank you swimmer78 for express my feelings exactly.i am not so good in english and i am struggling to express myself.you are not alone. It’s very interesting S78 that many of us have the same issues . Up till now I tend to get everything ready post shower , then pull my underwear on and rapidly get my trousers on . But I’ve now tried to set myself to getting on my pouch tanga or whatever and then getting organised like folding the towel away or getting my shoes out . In fact behaving normally ….. but it’s right not to rush

Yep, that's what I do to haha! Gotta make sure those pants are ready to throw on quick and cover that thong!Aberman wrote: Wed Feb 21, 2024 12:02 pm It’s very interesting S78 that many of us have the same issues .
