Can I ask if your love of animal prints extended to your swimwear? I clearly remember an Uncle of mine wearing an animal print swimming brief on the beach way back in the early 1970’s, which always seemed much cooler than the swim shorts my own Father wore. I think they lost their appeal when they began to be associated with oily lotharios!
Don’t know if you saw my g-string collection in a recent TBD post, but the animal print g-strings were well received. Maybe animal prints will make a comeback?
No I’m pretty plain when it comes to swimwear. I’ve only worn board shorts. I have lots of animal print underwear in thongs, G-strings, bikini briefs and string bikinis.
I don’t recall seeing your post on that I will have to check it out. I’m not opposed to wearing a skimpier style of swimwear it will just have to be the right place and I want my body to be a little bit better shape. Gotta lose some of this quarantined weight lol
Must admit I was surprised to read that you only wear board shorts as swimwear. I suppose it’s easy to assume that someone who wears really skimpy undies will naturally do the same with their swimwear.
Nate’s most recent post about body image is very timely especially if you feel the need to be in better shape before you strip off at the beach. His message is basically why wait? Just do it! Which seems good advice.
The post that featured my animal print g-strings was titled Share the goods T’s g-string collection, and was posted at the beginning of this month.
We both choose our own. This started some years ago with a girl-friend. She did want me buying any underwear for her as a gift as she had her own style preference (which were string bikinis) and her idea was that some sexy styles perhaps were not all that comfortable for wearing all day. I could buy her gifts that she had approved of, but nothing unexpected. I respected that, and applied the same reasoning to my underwear.
That thinking still applies to the current partner of quite some years now. I bought her some for a birthday present this year, but she chose them (brand, style and colour) and is wearing one of them as I type this.
I select and buy my own underwear and swimwear. That way, when I get something new, I can sometimes put on a little private show. She mostly buys her own too, but sometimes I buy her special things, which she wears for me.
@ blkmlthng when you mentioned the two of you thumbed through the catalog together and she picked out some styles she would like to see you in is awesome. It shows she truly loves what you are wearing. My wife hates to shop so even for us to look at an online store for options probably won’t happen. And I would want the final decision as to what was purchased.
@ tbdrawer it might be fun to let your wife pick out what you wear she may be more adventurous than you haha.

Same with bikinis for mine. This has been discussed elsewhere; the issue is that "women over 50 do not wear bikinis", no matter how well one might fit her. I'm not pushing the issue though, as she used to wear bikinis and it is her choice after all.
I pick my own and I am very picky on the style and shape of the thong (must be only a thong). SURPRISINGLY I also pick out my wife's thongs. She wears them daily. I got her out of granny panties. I hate briefs, boyshorts, trunks, square cuts, g-strings, boxers, etc. I only wore bikini-style in my teens, then switched to thongs.
I always buy my own underwear, my husband doesn’t care about my underwear and swimwear thongs.
One time in Christmas he got me underwear as a Christmas present, they were 4 briefs and 2 jockstrap NO THONGS, because he tried to gave me something I “like”, that was really thoughtful but at the same time I though... well you know I like thongs you should have me thongs. Lol
I time to time wear the jockstraps and the brief I gave them to him, didn’t like them (gay couple things I guess lol).
So I rather get my own undies.
While looking online at various undies, if I saw something I liked in particular, I would screen-shot it and text it to my (ex) wife and she would comment if she liked them or not.
My wife used to pick out my underwear, but I seldom wear underwear anymore. I will wear it when working at the hospital, but if I’m wearing scrubs, I don’t like it. Just a personal preference, so Please don’t knock me for not wearing any! If I wear shorts or jeans, I don’t wear it EVER. On the rare occasions I DO wear underwear, it is always boxer shorts since it basically feels like wearing nothing.

Wouldn't dream of knocking you for preferring to go commando,although you must admit it seems a bit ironic considering this is a blog that promotes the wearing of underwear(lol). The only thing that does surprise me is your choice of boxer shorts and your reason for wearing them. I've never met anyone who says wearing boxer shorts is akin to wearing nothing. It has always been the opposite,whereas with a g-string or thong,lots of guys will testify that they don't know they've got them on(unless the sizing is wrong). Hopefully you will continue to support and follow the blog even if it's just for the swimwear sections.
