Definitely not. It's about the right bikini for the right beach and moment.

My wife and I go to a clothing optional beach in Texas. We walk the beach in tiny g strings. Our pierced nipples get more attention than the strings.

I wore a g-string at a public beach, and a guy sitting on a towel complained since my rear was at eye level. After that I wore my favorite flat-front thongs that had a wider back, almost a Brazilian style. That looked fine, front and back.

I’m looking at Friday as being my first local beach day of the year. I suspect there will not be that many people out. So I am planning on wearing one of my G-String suits. Once the season here gets in full swing it will be thongs only for a couple months (which I prefer anyways) unless I get a special request from some special person for something “skimpier.”

If a g-string is 5cm or 10cm, a t-back or y-back, front pouch seamless flat or cupped might make a difference to us I don’t think the finer variations of g-string style is much of an issue to the public in general. To them a g-string is a g-string regardless of the details. If public acceptance is that much of an issue the “right bikini for the right beach” is a good policy to follow otherwise we should be able to wear what we like.
