After tryng to teach myself for te last 6-years and wishing I can say, " it is not really that dificult; "
I only seriously, put the time in for about 3-years. Then life took a shortcut in this race (covid detouring future planned goals/future dream vaca-travel, [Story in summary length] My trip came to a extreme hault, so I slowed down, then time, age, and task came speeding on by; skipping to the end-
I sent a ton of time learning:
- Speech
Writing(to some degree
Reading
To get off this subject, maybe for another time. I solo practice as much as I can/could, to the point I know enough words on the basic sentence structure [through expansive fandom for anime all the way to the point I try to keep fresh (w/ a bit of lameness attached) only can make time with dedicated focus like when I thought I was sure I was going to just get up and go to Japan at least able to basic communicate, read & not end up lost or in unknown {wrong time and place} and to absorb some culture [over imaging like I know the life.] All just to go more than anything during Spring Time <New Age from Birth>
To see the Cherry-Blossom Bloom and fall or at least get there for the festivals and food. Then back home with a Native made kimono
All of that, just to till this day for 569 days straight(streak on the DuoLingo App https://www.duolingo.com/ - Completely Free/with ads but satisfying entertaining.)
Few reasons, would be...
A lot of off the radar wealthy and or successful individuals are bilingual, with an extraordinary vast intellect. All from safety and comfort.
I am on of those rare young few (not with high, chest out confidence) visibly shown, but surely in straight forward in an extreme aggressive pursuit to become like such with no problems.
