My experience with IG has been a positive one. Aside from having some of my photos taken down (I believe that a bot detects this) I've never experienced anyone shaming me for showing off my underwear.
Thanks, Lazysaturday88. Btw, what is your IG handle?
Haha it's 'lazysaturdays88'

I think that Thongphobia and homophobia are one and the same and are at the root of any criticism.

I have an IG too but I haven't gotten any negative comments on it or in person. I have had a couple positive comments at the beach an no negative comments at all. If you wear a thong in public, just act normal and confident as if no one else exists. We need to promote and encourage people of all types to wear a thong in public or post more on social media. This way we can get acceptance out there. I can tell you the beach I go to I haven't encountered any negative judgment and if I did I would tell them to have a nice day and walk away so they can see my ass.

Social media platform negativity is why I found this forum after I posted on Reddit under r/Fuerteventura if people ever see men wearing thongs at hotel pool. All I received was comments about men should not wear thongs. Unfortunately I feel this type of comment then puts off people to comment whom may have a genuinely helpful reply. And also they may not be part of that sub reddit. I just don't understand when people write a reply that is entirely moot.
Following that failed attempt I found this forum with past discussions with the information I was after. And now I'm happy to find a place with other like minded thongers!

Welcome to the forum! I think you will be in good company here. Yeah, I browse reddit sometimes and find that redditors have pretty mixed opinions on men's thongs. I'm curious is your post still up on that subreddit? I'd like to see what people were saying.

Thank you for the welcome. No, I just took it down as I felt like what’s the point and maybe took it to heart a bit.
