Appreciate the welcome and kind words. Yes I have come across the Gregg Homme ones and they look like good quality so I may have to order me some too haha. Thank you for sharing about your experience and how did you dad react to wanting to try bikini underwear? I’m hoping he was supportive just like your mother. I for one wish my son’s mother was supportive but then again at least I am trying to be . I also hear a lot that many guys who wear bikini and thong prefer the thong more due to comfortable feel. Well I hope my sons likes them for the cost lol but I’m sure he will. We hope to get them sometime next week so we’ll see so I will keep y’all updated on that. Again thank you

I didn't witness the discussion between my mom and dad regarding the bikinis, but I get the feeling she told him it was happening and that was that. At some point, several years later, he asked what I liked about bikinis and we had a short conversation about it. This, in itself, was surprising because my dad is not a conversationalist. Then later I saw her had some bikinis in his laundry, so perhaps I encouraged him to give it a try. I like to think I did, anyway. Though perhaps my mom just bought them for him and asked him to wear them.

These days I'm about 50/50 on wearing thongs versus bikinis. I have loads of both, and I have no issue with wearing a thong in front of pretty much anyone.

I am definitely looking forward to hearing the outcome of what your son thinks of his new thongs. Hopefully it will be a solid hit, if not a home run.

You will definitely like the Gregg Homme products if you give them a try. If you like the boxer brief style, but hate that they are all flat front products (this is my issue with boxer briefs) you may want to look into the "Real Men" brand on Amazon. I got a three pack of their 6" shorts and leggings, all with their "B" pouch. These for awesome and I'll wear them pretty much anywhere. So amazingly comfortable.

Oh nice! That’s could be a possible if your mom wanted your dad to wear that. Who knows maybe you did persuade him too that’s awesome to hear. I have looked at several of the collections and I dol Ike the ones with waistband so that is nice and it’s looks like it is soft material. I also saw bikini and thong style too which we’ll see lol also I have heard of the Real Men brand I see it all over tik tok glad you mentioned it since I wasn’t sure how comfortable they would be that’s awesome is it a new brand.

Seeing that there might be some interest for yourself in the Gregg Hommes. I'm going to suggest a few to try

As you can see they go from mild to wild on their site. Ive tired a lot of their lines, with a few unfortunately discontinued. But ive narrowed down a few daily styles that might be worth a try.
I found that the Gregg Homme's are on the snugger/slimmer side, so if you have a concern go up a size.

The room-max Thong/Bikini - Great booster style pair, lots of space in the front, and with its groove pouch it pushes things out. Not everyone is a fan of these types of undies, the ones that are "sectioned" pouches arnt always my favourites, but this system seems to work for me, and not uncomfortable long term.

Yoga Thong/Bikini - Probably one of my favorites that they make at the moment, great fabric, decent stretch, awesome daily and fun wear. Lots of colours to choose from

Wonder Thong/Bikini - One of their classic popular styles, more of a fitted style, tad snugger in the front but a decent daily wear if you like the fit. Doesnt have as much stretch as their others because i believe its a double lined front pouch, but i consider it probably one of the more toned down pairs from my list. In a good way.

Voyeur Thong/Bikini - Super stretchy, looks more like a novelty pair, but i found them to be really nice for daily wear, definetly puts things on show, but something about the fit i really like.

Torridz Thong/Bikini - would definitely consider this a fun pair, material might be a bit thin for a daily wear i found and can get a bit pokey when worn under jeans/etc But definetly is a great show off pair

Oh yes for sure I definitely noticed the mild to wild nature of the brand. They had net underwear I saw that lol I do like the collection with the black waistband idk which one it is it might be room max now that describing the collection. Appreciate the breakdown it’s a lot to see and exactly try to figure out the purpose or what the collection is in guess intended for. I’m assuming room max bigger pouch lol I have heard goods thing about it and may need to go up size according to size chart but thank you for the advice and suggestions we’ll have to see.

So finally received the package of underwear. I gave to my son and he was ecstatic . Should have seen his reaction when they came in. He was “ omg no way they are here!” Before I let me open them! I told him that he and I need to have small talk about these underwear. He was nervous I could tell but I told him don’t be nervous nothing bad just a little bit of things I want to go over. I explained to him my concern about wearing these to school. I did tell them that I won’t prohibit him from wearing to school but I would advis him to keep a pair or two of the boxer briefs here in case he has to go to school and change in front of others. I told him that kids can be cruel and unfortunately adults are no better. He understood and said that he would keep a pair of two in case he needs to change in school. I told him that when he is home or lounging in the house he is more than welcome to be in the underwear with t shirt or muscle shirt as I made it a habit to let them be boys plus is only guys in the house so no harm in that. He mentioned his brother and I told him I get to that in little. I basically wanted him to be comfortable wearing them and treating them as if any other underwear. He asked about karate and I said he can wear them to karate and when he is playing basketball if he wants. I did tell him that he will have to stop cutting the boxer briefs into thong style at his mom’s and that the thongs need to stay only at my house. He understood and had no problem with that. The last thing I told him was me just being a dad messing with him. I told him last thing don’t be wearing them for any girls okay….and hygiene hygiene if you know what I mean. He laughed and he opened the packages. I will be honest they were nice and you can tell the quality difference. I definitely realized the animal ones are nicer fabric so I’ll order him few more of that kind and fabric. Thank you for the suggestion. As we is looking through the underwear open then one by one his younger bro walks in and my older son nervously hides the underwear away to side and tell him to go over there. I respond telling him that is it okay I want him to know that’s this kind of underwear is normal and he doesn’t have to be ashamed about it. I explained to him that it was okay and I called his brother back. I told the younger one that his older brother got his new underwear in today and he wants to show you. My older one’s hand the younger one a pair and he just looks at it and says “ so this goes up your butt”. My son says yes and as usual my younger one says. Yeah that would be no for me he says giggling. My son is excited about them anyway and I tell him to go try them on and he did they fit perfect and he loves them. He showered and changed into the one of the animal print thongs and as usual just in his t shirt and underwear as usual went to bed as my younger one comments “ wow it does go up your butt”. I said that’s okay and he can wear them around just like you are your underwear. Nothing wrong about it and then off to bed for next day.

Good job Ben, you handled the situation in the best possible way. You listened to your son, took his opinion seriously, and handled it in a mature way. You ordered some great quality pairs for his first try - so that helps to make a good first impression, especially when trying out a thong. I didn't try my first thong until I was 19, it wasn't perfect but I kept trying and now wear them pretty much every day. My parents never knew anything about them and still don't, even to this day only my wife has seen me in them. To bad your ex-wife won't be mature about the decision, but she'll get over it. I hope if my son decides later in life (he's 4) that he wants to try thongs, I am able to handle it in the same mature way you did. The next step is picking you out a thong to try and you joining the minimal underwear club.

On a side note, you didn't mention your sons frame, if you find it difficult to find others in his size, on Instagram DisneySticher sews great quality underwear, he could probably can make your son a few pairs.
