Straw-Strings, it sounds like you are making progress! You could try stretching out on both your back and stomach on a beach towel at the beach, and sunbathe there! You could apply sunscreen (perhaps with your friend's help) to the areas already showing some tan before heading to the beach, leaving the areas which need "work" untreated until after some specific exposure at the beach (with a timer or watch). Then apply sunscreen to those areas and keep rockin' that thong! You'll be the "HOT Guy" soon (and I don't think your nickname will be "Lobster"!).

Lmao I sure hope not!! Interesting idea with the separate sunscreen applications. I think it was better with the SPF oil than it would have been with nothing at all but all I know is I'm gonna use actual screen from now on lol. I might have to lay on all fours; I made a point to flop between my back and stomach and the result was burn on the front, lighter burn on my back, and no change at all to my sides

Hi Straw-strings, I take blood pressure medicines that make me more sensitive to sunlight. If I lie down on the beach, I will quickly burn. If I walk around, I can wander safely, but the top of my feet can still burn. It seems to be like a barbecued chicken, the spit has to keep turning.

Update: Finally did it yesterday!! Definitely an overall positive experience aside from the resulting sunburn.

Most people didn't bat an eye, and a few talked to me normally without even mentioning it. A few times throughout the day I couldn't tell whether weird looks/laughs/phone cameras were pointed at me, but I also didn't care because I didn't have any negative interactions with people. My friend and I struck up a conversation with one lady and I mentioned my "experiment." She assured me that it wasn't weird, that I looked good and my body's in shape so I should just do me and fuck what anyone else thinks! She went on to share a similar anecdote of her own.

On the boardwalk just before we left, one girl saw me from the front and said, "rockin' the speedo man!!" Her friends cheered and it made my whole day, even if they were being somewhat ironic

I've worn "Speedo's" all my life, its just natural thing for me to grab my "bathers" when I go to the beach.
In recent times, my bathers have become smaller and smaller, they are probably classed as micro bikinis, but still with my bum covered.
I've always wanted to wear a thong to the beach. A couple of years ago, we did a 5 night hike in country Victoria, we went mid week out of school holidays, so had the track almost all to ourselves. I decided to wear my latest Cocksox swim thong, but I didn't tell my wife, who has always been very supportive of my choice of underwear, anyway, we found a beautiful beach and I wore my thong for the first time, she laughed, but liked the look of it and any moments awkwardness was quickly forgotten.
Since then, we've gotten into nude beaches, and sometimes I wear a very small TM thong, but mostly nothing at all. I also tan in the backyard naked, so have a good all over tan.
Most recently, we've been pushing the boundaries at more local accessible beaches, of the two local beaches we go to, one is a gay beach where guys wear thongs and are sometimes (illegally) naked, I often wear a swim thong to that beach, but our nearest beach is a very family beach and I only wear micro bikinis to that beach. There are plenty of girls wearing thongs and I don't see why I shouldn't either, but to keep the peace, I stick to micro bikinis with a covered behind. Thats not so say I won't wear a thong to that beach, but it'll probably be on a quieter day without kids around.
Anyway, thats a long way of saying, I've recently stated wearing thongs to the beach, but I pick and choose the time and appropriateness.

I thought I'd share a post a made in another forum last year. This wasn't my first time thonging at a beach, but the first where I was the only guy for miles in a thong. My previous experience has been at a gay beach where everyone very tolerant. Just south of Daytona Beach, FL.

Here is my beach report...

If you're looking to be exposed in a tiny swimsuit in a the middle of a crowd of people then I say go for NSB! You will not be disappointed. They do allow driving on the beach so it was pretty crowded with a long row of parked cars and people hanging out.

My wife and I hung out towards the back of the beach actually behind where the cars were parked. After a bit I decided I would take a dip in the water. And boy what a test of bravery! The beach is probably 150 yards long at low tide. One of the longest walks of my
life (but also one of the most exhilarating). Probably took a full 5 minutes to walk down to the water, it felt like forever.

My thoughts during the walk...

Okay, lets cool off in some water.

Feels good to stand up, better brush the sand off everywhere, especially my bottom. Want to make sure everything looks good!

It was really exciting and definitely worth it. I visited the water a couple more times throughout the rest of the day. Each time was just as thrilling as the last. My only regret is not going for a nice walk along the water. Maybe next time

In middle school, I realized how much I enjoyed wearing speedos when participating in swim meets. I used to like to hang around the pool in my speedos long after practice or competition. Eventually, I wore a speedo even if I didn't have a swim team event. I wondered what it would be like to wear something with even less coverage, but I didn't know where to find a swimsuit like that. When I was 15, I ordered two "posing suits" out of a bodybuilding magazine advertisement. One black, one white. They were about 1/3 rear coverage, not truly thongs, made out of spandex with a front lining. You can bet I was the first on to the mailbox everyday as I waited for the package to arrive.

When I received them I immediately tried them on in front of a mirror in my room and could not wait to wear them outdoors. But, I was not about to wear them anywhere that people know me. So, one weekend I got a ride to the beach with some older friends. I told my parents I was staying with them, but I actually planned to camp by myself at the beach. I was dropped off at my destination with a small backpack. My new black "thong" bathing suit was under my shorts. I was super nervous as well as excited as I took off my shirt and shorts, and stuffed then into my pack.

It was early in the day. Not crowded. I just strolled down the beach nervously trying to act cool and casual. Some people didn't seem to notice, others looked twice. However, nobody was reacting negatively at all. After becoming a little more comfortable, I asked the lifeguard to let me leave my pack under his stand and walked for what was probably miles up and down the beach, swimming occasionally. I was addicted to the feeling at that point. I talked to a few men and women and nothing too awkward happened, and a couple of girls around my age actually talked to me for a long time sitting on the sand with big grins and the occasional giggle.

The next day, I did about the same thing but in the white suit. The hint of appearing sheer when coming out of the water (although the suit was lined) was intoxicating. I have been hooked on this ever since.
