Summer Plans

Now that summer is here (at least in the northern hemisphere), do any of you have any summer plans to wear the kind of swim suit you really want?

Living here in Texas, it is very hot and humid so a dip in the pool is very refreshing. At the same time, I really want to wear the kind of swimwear I like but I'm still not that comfortable to wear one in public unless I know people are OK with it. Texas isn't known for being comfortable for speedos for men.

I live with two housemates and there is a barn in the huge backyard. I was thinking of asking my housemate who owns the house to see if we could put an inflatable pool there for private use this summer. There are electrical outlets for fans to help us cool down. I could wear my speedos there comfortably. One of my housemates knows that I like wearing speedos and doesn't think it's strange.

I'm not travelling this summer so I am kind of stuck at home.

Jason, out of curiosity, I went on Google and typed in: Texas beaches which allow thongs. Very positive information came up! I used the word "thongs" with the idea in mind that if thongs (and other types of microwear) are welcome at any given beach, your Speedos should be as well. Check out the listings! You might be pleasantly surprised!

I’ve already been out to my local beach several days this spring/summer. I am the only man on the beach wearing a thong, never with any problem. While board shorts are the standard beach uniform for men in my area, I do see several other women wearing cheeky and thong bikinis. I’ve had conversations with fellow beach goers that were friendly and pleasant. I have noted that there have been a few women sneaking photos or taking long hard looks, but that just goes with wearing a thong

As for my summer plan, I am headed to the beach at least three days a week. I want to take a four or five day trip to Lake Michigan and hit up a few beaches there. Only bringing thongs as my swimwear.

just wear the speedo you like, trust me, people after a little bit dont care what are you wearing, and speedos are very safe swimwear to dear youerself and wear what you want. what is the worse thing that could happen? I invite to thing deeply what is the worse thing could happen if you wear a speedo in public. this way you will visualize the worse escenario and realize that it would be that bad, and also not even happen.
This is gonna be though and i am sorry, but, we can die in any momment, so, dont take your dreams to the graveground

I have read about guys asking to be buried wearing a speedo (under their clothes, I hope!) which would be easy to do if planned ahead of time, and if they were known to wear speedos regularly in public. Live life colorfully!

Thanks for all the words of support. My problem is that I still have quite a bit of anxiety and it's something I would like to work on.

As for now I will see about putting an inflatable pool in the barn in the backyard where I live where I can at least put them on and relax.
